Might try that with a Tele Hotrail and 500k pots. P1, with Volume no tone. P2, volume and tone with a 22uf cap. P3 volume and tone with 47uf cap. Series/parallel DP/dot switch volume.

Im always dont be a fender, dont be a fender.... Dammit... If its a real 65 thats cool.. but Jazzmasters are the only ones crave with my musical taste. Old wood on vintage guitars does cystalize in a way that makes the tone better. But whatever you plugged that into did it less justice

That's so funny ... when the camera did a closeup of the .030 scribed line I see this line that looks like 1/4" lol (that line got there through use somehow) ..you can barely see the scribed line in the closeup....hope nobody gets the wrong idea of what .030 is lol.. I like to see how each luthier attacks resets. Interesting take each time. As a luthier I actually like dovetails even more than bolt-ons when it comes to acoustics... as long as someone before didn't use the wrong glue 😊 . Or a hide glue that was made badly and doesn't want to release . Good job.

I mean depends what you're playing with it, you're not going to be playing heavy metal or blue with a mandolin

You WILL have to upgrade the tuners on The 315.. this isn't even an option, because they are terrible... when i say terrible, i mean they are the worst tuners i have ever seen on a mandolin without exception...these things are loose and bindy... I have not seen any of the cheapest chinese tuners made even be this bad ...about 1/2 of them grab and even might hurt someone with small ,tender, fingers... As a luthier, I know . In fact, i am having to replace a set this week.. Another problem is the fat neck .... this can be taken down , but whybdid they make it that fat ... It reminds you of a 1970s Kay mandolin , except worse... I would not recomend it for a student with short hands. At least if you want them to beable to master the 4 finger chords quickly... Luckily a luthier can take that down quot quickly, and even make it speed neck in the process and it won't cost you $120+ for parts like it does with tuners..

I’ve been making guitars for about 10 years. Started after getting Chemo. I’ve never made a real Acoustic. I’ve made and sold my own?? Design of acoustic electrics and solid bodies. I don’t have any special equipment to bend the sides. Any idea??? Thank you for the videos.

Garantisco🤗

I'm not much of an acoustic guitar guy but I love watching the process of the construction (I made dulcimers decades ago)! ❤ But, I have to say I would be so bored at that factory if all I did all day was bend sides or glue in purfling/rosettes or glue up braces etc and do it fast because you have a quota to meet...I'd be burned out in a month..
