I have 2 broody chickens of my 7 hens. 1 female (my Japanese Buff Black Tail Bantam) sat on 6 fertilized eggs. She hatched 4 healthy chicks (3 were hers & 1 from another female). They are doing great! 1 died right after birth (an egg from a Blue Laced Red Wyandotte) and the other (the Buff's egg) was crushed while hatching by a different female who went into the nest to lay her egg while the broody hen left to eat. 😭 The other female (a different Blue Laced Red Wyandottes) seems to sit on the eggs, and has quite a few that develop (both hers and other hens eggs) but I am unsure that she is turning them, if ever. Many are half developed or nearly fully developed but never hatch. Her first brood she got up a few days shy of hatch day and hopped on another nest. 😭 Anyway, since my Buff does a good job of brooding but the other does not, I've decided to take matters into my own hands and remove this latest batch from under the Wyandotte and incubate them along with some others in a YZ model identical to yours with the yellow turn racks. It was loaned to me in the hopes they would get some chicks (mostly a few roosters) from me since he has no males for his females (although I have serious doubts about his capabilities of raising chicks, but that's another story). Anyway, I am curious as to whether you removed your eggs on day 18 to hatch elsewhere or if you left them in the incubator to hatch. This is my first time using an incubator. Thanks for any tips you may have.

How do you get a manual? I requested one from the company and told them English but I'm not sure what language this is but definitely not English!

I bought this and ran it a few days. I put 6 eggs in it and everything went fine except for the humidity always being 60-75 percent. Things candled well. Day 23 I did the float test for possible viability and all 6 were good. Today day 25 I discarded them all. All dead eggs. How do I adjust the humidity?

You incubators are huge all the ones i see are half the size thought i was going nuts lol what is the name i know its old and might not be sold anymore but its bugging me stupid lol

Just a heads up there are 2 different sizes of these machines one can only do bantam eggs yet i see the ones Americans have can fit larger eggs its very confusing as there is nowhere that there are different sizes. I thought i was seeing things but there are definitely different sizes this could be why the prices of these are all over the place

This happened to me at exactly that same spot just last week! The chick survived as I heard it cheeping and it took a few minutes to carefully get the chick from being wedged in there. Definately will be removing the yellow cap there.
