Thank you for the heads up. Another option I found to be useful is to set up a brooder's box just before the eggs start to hatch. That way you can maintain the incubator's environment. As you know, the chicks don't all hatch at the same time.

This happened to me at exactly that same spot just last week! The chick survived as I heard it cheeping and it took a few minutes to carefully get the chick from being wedged in there. Definately will be removing the yellow cap there.

Hi. I have the same incubator and I also tape the lid down. I leave the back of the lid permanently taped so it acts like a hinge. On my first hatch I lifted the front of the lid slightly so that there was oxygen for the chicks. I didn't get a bad drop in humidity, so I guessed this was the correct thing to do. Do you agree, or do your chicks survive with the lid completely taped down?

thanks for the tips mate. 👌 got our first fertile chicken eggs today. had the machine running for a week and keep it topped up with water but still get the low humidity alarm at 45%. will try rhe tape tonight befor I put the eggs in. stay safe 👌

I bought this and ran it a few days. I put 6 eggs in it and everything went fine except for the humidity always being 60-75 percent. Things candled well. Day 23 I did the float test for possible viability and all 6 were good. Today day 25 I discarded them all. All dead eggs. How do I adjust the humidity?

Why does this thing keep beeping???? Why does the temperature never go up? It says 99.5 to incubate and my temp sits at 66? The humidity thing keeps beeping! And i only added one bottle of water? Its not wet? I can't get mine up and running. If i did it right I set my humidity at 45.5 and it's beeping and beeping every few mins I have to hit a button? So please teach us!! Lol. My manual is in every language but English.

Just a heads up there are 2 different sizes of these machines one can only do bantam eggs yet i see the ones Americans have can fit larger eggs its very confusing as there is nowhere that there are different sizes. I thought i was seeing things but there are definitely different sizes this could be why the prices of these are all over the place

I use my cell phone light , dark room ,put the lil light bulb on your phone directly on the egg an you will see into it no problem ... I have bought egg candlers but I found using my phone works best for me ..my yes they work video shows me using my to show the heat beating egg

Quail eggs should be ok just watch your days an heat , an be sure to get them down before hatch cause they are so little they will get stuck in the mechanic's or the trays .. There is another version of this incubator an it hatches more eggs an has a candlers inside like you said but not the 24 a that I'm aware of I have a few ..

Thanks for this tip, I have same unit; I am hatching laying quail...I lost one this morning, he drowned while hatching, his beak went down into the water tray underneath, because his shell did not fully crack from over his back, so that caused his head to be forced down into the water tray, because the opening spaces on the plastic grid floor are too large for these tiny quail , I put some foam over top of that grid now and the hatch is continuing. Does anyone know where you can purchase quail egg rails that would fit this unit?

You would have to make one of your own ... Or modify it to fit a quail rail .that you can put in place of the regular egg racks .

Try doing a full reset as shown in my other video .. if that doesn't work the timer for the motor might be burnt or not operating incorrectly ...

Moreno family Farms lol got this incubator since I posted this comment and I adjusted the humidity parameters but lowest it goes it 30% so I have a humidifier running outside in the room to keep it above 29% for 18 days.im on lockdown today got 16 out of 24 eggs developing

I put not boiled but very warm water down but you do slowly so when you hit the humidity you want then you stop

I set my alarm for lower than normal an real high since there is 2 indicator alarms one for high humidity an 1 low humidity... Only down side is you have to be attentive to the incubator for the humidity levels

I have a new problem with this thing... And it's always been like this since I first used it. When I set the temperature to something like 37.6, the thermometer reads between 37.5-38.2, with an average temp of 37.8. Now I'm worried during hatching, since I can feel the hot air on the bottom grid of this incubator. What temp should I reduce it to when it's on day 18?

Yeah try moving it .. if not try letting the thermometer go to room temp or put the fridge an the after a while put it back in .. basically resetting the thermometer.. also try checking your case for leaks

Try the tape method an if that doesn't work , you can also add a all cut of sponge to help keep the humidity an the tape should help keep the temp if you have it in a shed no insulated , garage with concrete floor in cold climate the machine is working harder to keep the temp inside the incubator , an if you still have the styrafom from the package that helps In cold climate also ...

REGARDING the removing of the stud for the period when the eggs hatch. (last 3 days) I made a cardboard template to fit into the the two slots in front of the stud and taped top of the cardboard with a bit of tape.Problem solved..no need to move stud.

Yes, if you're incubator keeps beeping it signals that your humidity has gone to low or a decrease/increase in temperature :) Hope this helps!

Received mine without a manual. When you hold down the set button some strange numbers and letters come up. Can you tell me what they mean? ML, P1, P2 ect... different hatches? Yes the day an Time of plug is the beginning of the count down ... So it being a classroom I would plug the machine in in the morning so kids see it changed daily instead of it seeming like it's stuck until the evening ... All the symbols on the YZ-24A Incubator will be in a quick video I'm making RightNow ... I'm up in South lake Tahoe but I'm still trying to put the manual videos together for people to see .. so I'm trying to get it out before I head to bed

Depends on why it's constantly going off ... You can raise the humidity just a hair an see if that works for you Could be set to high already If there's to much humidity depending on your climate could make it go off ...(just berp it an see what happens).. If you got the lil blue sensor wet your gonna have to disassemble an dry the unit out making sure the sensor doesn't get wet an is totally dry.. if you're in the middle of hatch without 2 machines it makes it kinda hard ... Let me know if you're still stumped .... After giving these a try ..

@@litlekoiboy Yeah I did get it wet. Got it fixed though. However, keeping the humidity at 40-50% is impossible for me. When I don't fill the water channels, the humidity stays at 45 then goes down to 37, and there goes the alarm again. If I put some water, it goes back up to 66.

What makes it not good for you ... So I can let the manufacturer know .. if you didn't get it from the direct vendor then there is no telling what happened between the direct vendor an the 3rd party vendor ... 3rd party could be buying returns a reselling them But let me know what makes it a bad incubator for you ... I have 4 Yz24A incubators an they all work great .. plus I have a big 300 count incubator
