Imagine if we install WSL2 and run a Pi-hole docker container, under the guest's guest OS. Pi-hole within Docker within WSL2 within Windows within Proxmox within Hyper-V within Windows. How can you make that Pi-hole as the main DNS server of your router?

My web browser said " This site can't be reached" after i copy the Tailscale IP with the TCP port number 8006. I did a ping test from Proxmox shell , Tailscale IP & PC are pingable (but PC cannot ping Tailscale IP 100.xx.xx.xx). As long as both my PC & Proxmox can reach Internet (we don't have to care about the internal routing parts). I have tried turned off Windows Defender Firewall still same. Pls advise me.

THANKS A TON !! :) THAT WAS me, who commented on the other video of yours and wanted to apply this on truenas scale, I do not see the SERVICES, seems by default, the TNS disables the SERVICES tab, I have currently switched it on, and it says, it will take some time to fetch all the services running on my TNS, I'm hoping it will detect my Plex server running on it :) I shall get back when its a success or a failure, You are awesome !!!!

For me Jellyfin works with windows but when I connect my iPhone with tailscale and try to connect to jellyfin with ip and port it does not work. On windows in works perfectly. Also I use the ip dedicated for my iPhone on tail scale and the ip dedicated for windows for windows. Idk what’s the problem then

in turenas core, we need a DDNS server and provider for the VPN, so in turnas scale, if we use tailscale does it means that we no longer need DDNS server and provider since tailscale will do it ?

Hi Jeff, I stucked on the 6:12 time of the video, Everything seems to be working, tailscale web seems to see my Truenas machine live and running, the green dot is on, but when I copy the ip address and paste it to the new window, nothing is happening and not even window open with the message not secure connection. (the message is "this web is not available"). Can you please help me with this issue, beacuase now I can control the Truenas just localy. Thank you for your advice. Architec7

Hello. I connected my TrueNAS server to Tailscale and the Tailscale website shows me the connection, but when I try to open the IP address, it just doesn't work. Error message: "can't reach this page" Do you have any idea what could be wrong?

Any chance you can do another video step-by-step. Doing it exactly obviously. I have a apple device where you have a window. There is something I am doing wrong. I cannot see the IP address like you put it on there. It is too small and every time I go into Google to search for that. IP address it just takes me to Reddit. am using my IP address, not yours but nevertheless, the last 4 digit that are of Plex that you place at the end, I place it exactly how I think it is with the/web and still nothing happens. It doesn't even look like the page that you open on your side. Minds just show The webpage called Reddit.

I am so angry with this. It is not working for me no matter how much I try.

just some feedback here. some people need/want captions, so thanks for providing them. however, some people suffer from absolutely crippling adhd and cant watch a video with words in the same language as the audio(i.e. contextually unnecessary captions). your captions are burned in. i cant turn them off. i cant watch your video. you're looking after some people and alienating others. people, just make your captions optional, and not in the middle of the screen(not a problem here, but while im on the soapbox). thanks for coming to my ted talk/

Hey, brother, I created the tale scale account. Saw the machines that I had active like my cell phone and my Mac min I could not see plex. I saw your video over and over again. I'm so frustrated I bought the Plex pass. I got my media started but I can't get it outside of my home because of this. Because of this remote access, it is not actually working, and I've done so much research and regards to port forwarding. That hasn't worked, and I really thought this would work, and I'm exhausted. I'm already tired of trying and trying and failing. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I created the account on tale scale. I added 2 devices which I can see in the machine area. But I cannot get the plex to show up on there.

I have been trying to figure out how to get access to remote access on my plex. But I have not been able to, I bought the plex pass assuming that would help but my understanding is an issue with bypassing some issues with the router which looks like you just showed me how to bypass that. Hopefully it'll work for me. I have a Mac Mini, so the process is probably different. But I'm going to try it. And like you said, I do not have access to the router. Because I am currently renting a room, which means the router isn't possible for me to do port Ford so I hope this works. Now I purchased a travel router, which gives me a lot of access. But I still have to connect it to the owner's router, and nothing works. I'm hoping this works. Thank you. Now there's different ways that I can set the travel router. And I said it. As a repeater, it gives me the option to set it as a WI-FI extender or as a router. The only options is the 2 which is extender or a repeater. Because like I said, I am renting a room and I don't have the details. I need to access their router. Thank you again, and I just subscribe to you.
