I would definitely go with the DA62. This is because 2 engines are much more safe than 1 engine. In the cirrus if the engine shuts down, you will go down to the ground. Even with parachute, it is not safe. You could be over water or dangerous forest or anything. With 2 engine, when one breaks, the plane can still fly with one propeller.

Cirrus SF50 Pax: 7 Engine: 1 Max Cruise: 311 kts Ceiling: FL310 Range: 1266 nm Price: $1.8-3M Eclipse 500 Pax: 4 +1 (right cockpit seat) Engine: 2 Max Cruise: 370 kts Ceiling: FL410 Range: 1125 nm Price: $2.2M TBM 940 Pax: 6 Engine: 1 Max Cruise: 330 kts Ceiling: FL310 Range: 1730 nm Price: $4.2-4.6M I know the TBM is a little bit "apples and oranges" here but I thought I'd throw it in just to show aircraft that are similar in size and performance. I do have some "cringe" issues with the fact that a turboprop is faster than than one of these jets and it has a greater range than both of these jets. The early Cessna Citations used to get picked on for their underwhelming performance specs. They were called "Slow-tations" and "Nearjets" as some turboprops like the Piper Cheyenne 400LS could beat up a Citation 500 on the schoolyard. The only "plus" factor for these light jets is maybe the price. The Eclipse, having 2 engines, has a faster cruise, of course. Both jets beat the TBM in terms of cost. If I was in the market and currently in a turboprop or a high-performance piston and I really wanted to get into a jet, I wouldn't bother with these jets. I would go straight for the Embraer Phenom 300E. Otherwise, I would stay in the turboprop and wait until I was able to make that move. The old adage applies: you get what you pay for most of the time. But to each their own.

I put a 160K deposit (before release) on a G7 and now I am filled with regret. Same old power plant, NO FADEC, and a completely ridiculous price tag. You don't have to read many of the professional pilot's comments to figure out the G7 fell short of high expectations. IMHO, as a new pilot the Cirrus is overwhelming and unsafe. In general, the Cirrus experience has been less than satisfactory. New pilots, do your homework before you get sucked in...

A couple of things, please narrate this video with somebody who knows what they're talking about. As for the flight deck in both of these aircraft, there is no aircraft that I have ever seen that actually has a flight deck in it. A flight deck is something you land on on an aircraft carrier, I don't care how many people wine cry bitching complain about the word, the word is cockpit
