I got free economy x on a choice fair when I am red status. Also my wife is gold status and on choice Fair she could upgrade to economy x for free. Also. That was only a couple of weeks ago The tape. If people don't want to buy food on the plane or save money then bring your own food and drinks on the plane also, at the moment Platinum members get four free business class upgrades each year also for people that don't know

Great report of your trip! Advantage of sitting towards the back of the aircraft is ability to see the ground below. I do that whenever flying on SIA 😁 I hope you enjoyed Changi Airport. Not sure if you made a video of their business class lounge there - its bigger and nicer!

Gosh, thanks for the memories! Can't wait to go back to Japan. You were in the domestic Sakura Lounge, which is bare bones. The international Sakura Lounge is HEAPS better and the buffet is out of this world. Alternatively, when you fly domestic First Class like I did, you enter the Diamond Premier Lounge instead, and that had better food options .

yo aiden, great video as always. i always find it so interesting to see japanese domestic flights at they are so unique cos they both major airlines fly many different wide bodies, it sure does put the australian domestic experience to shame. keep up the great vids man!

Keep in mind you have a city like Tokyo that has a bigger population than Australia & New Zealand combined, and still we are short by almost 10 Million. Overall 26 million vs 125 million, and keep in mind, most Japanese airports are not 24hrs. That said it is great that you can catch an A350, B787 & even a B767 on a domestic flight, with some of these aircraft equipped with 3 classes (First, J Class (more like Premium Economy), & Economy).

We recently flew this aircraft to Bali Denpasar from Melbourne return.5.5 hrs.....7.01.25....No flight entertainment, very cramped especially when the person infront reclines seat...Nice aircraft, but should be kept for domestic short trips..

Malaysian Hospitality & Efficiency at their very best... We were on a MAS flight (KL to Sg) Jan 6th, in a plane jam - stuck on the tarmac for 56 minutes waiting in a long queue of 12 planes to take off! Nearly missed our connecting flight on arrival in Sg....The KL Airport Control Tower - What a bunch of Useless, Feckless & Incompetent lot!

There are many factors beyond the control of airports. ATC congestion, weather disruption, or VIP/military priorities to name a few. In normal times, a 2 minute or 5 mile separation between takeoff would be sufficient to avoid wake turbulence. And it's not the airline or airports fault that you booked a tight connection.

JAL lounge curry is some of the best! Lounges overseas are just on another level. Even the basic ones are so much better than our Aussie ones. CX is an airline of my childhood. I flew them a lot as half of my family comes from HK so we shuttled between Spore and HK every 3 months. Yep, I've been flying them since they were 3 green stripes.

@@nealebreusch5035 I think sometimes people forget they watch these videos for free. If you think you can make a better video including the meal service and your perfectly cut nails, I recommend you take 4 days off work, spend over $2000, have 18 hour days filming, and edit the videos while you work 2 jobs to afford to make the videos. That’s not even 10% of what I do to make these videos that you watch for FREE.

I've flown on these high capacity 777 from CX twice now still great service and relative comfort on their shorter inter asia routes. I also like the fact they still use metal cutlery where most airlines are using wood or plastic

Pity girl, she was manning the boarding queue herself. I had similar experience on widebody evening flight, for some reasons. And it's quite annoying for me, and i imagine for the staff too.

The bus service between the 2 terminals ends in January, with the new train service resuming after refurbishment. MAS has 2 lounges, the Regional Domestic in the main terminal. The International one is in the Satellite terminal, as you experienced. Have to say, flown MAS countless times over the years, to and from Australia (Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney), London(A380), Jakarta, Manila, Bali, Bangkok, think that's it. Never had an issue, other than the odd delay, but nothing serious. Shame about the IFE system though. Usually a reset gets that working. As for the boarding, that is very unusual, there is normally 3-4 people there sorting all that out and flights to Australia, often an Australian Immigration representative overseeing. Flew them yesterday actually, from Singapore, excellent! Touchdown to car, 20 minutes! Another very good video Aidan. I am all caught up on Ifly Aviation videos now, after a 2 hour binge! 🙂
