Last flight was Qantas to Hong Kong. Eight hours with one meal and one drink, never saw the crew the rest of the flight. I agree with other comments that cabin crews need retraining or sacking. Now flying Singapore Airlines, service is exemplory. Qantas is no longer our national airline it's a disgrace caused by Joyce.

I often say - if you get bad service from staff, it could be because they have been treated poorly by management, and they gotta pass that feeling on. So in this case it's easy to blame the ex-CEO - I heard they want to claw back $9M of his $26M exit payout - that must hurt (snigger!)

Yes… it’s like that now. I flew from Singapore to Melbourne and got one meal. Then a cardboard box for breakfast which had a horrible cheesy pastry in it which I didn’t eat

I flew this service just a bit over a week ago and the service was exceptional. The flight was Tokyo Haneda to Sydney departing at 8:35am. All the staff were lovely and very attentive. The food was really good and just kept on coming! Lots of snacks and drinks along with two full meal services throughout the flight.

I fly QF regularly including just getting back from a weekend MEL-PER-MEL trip in J. The crew out on the A330 were really good, the crew on the way back needed a Mchappy meal. I think they just need to be more consistent.

Always awesome videos, Aidan. Qantas is never my first choice these days. The outdated A330s just don't cut it anymore. I have never encountered rude staff on Rex or Virgin, just on Qantas. Keep up the great reviews.

Similar with any other company and people in the street. Look at us now. Road rage, anger, acting like you're from some hood. No need

@@BelloBudo007 Mate, I don't care. I had been a loyal QANTAS flyer and would not use any other airline. I was a member of their Frequent Flyer Programme and between 1998 and 2008, I had amassed 176,000 FQ points, which back at hat time was a good number of points to have that would have got me two return flights to the UK. That *176K* in points was what was left from my account as my wife and I travelled on numerous trips to the UK, NZ and domestically. Thanks to that Irish fairy, my points evaporated into the ether. I can assure you that by 1998, I was staring to wonder whether QANTAS was worth it. I got abused by QANTAS hostie because I had taken my camera out of it's bag as I needed to check the unit and remove my film. That cow thought I was going to take a snap of her which was not something I would have wasted a my good film on. QANTAS staff were getting quite rude not only to myself but to other passengers. As far as I am concerned, I will stick with British AIRWAYS, Emirates and QATAR who know how to treat their passengers. *BUGGER QANTAS!*

Qantas needs a whole organisation reboot to earn back their status as a top airline and actually prove their worth the premiums

Great video as always! It's a shame Qantas has not kept up with other international airlines with fleet renewal. Ancient A330's on international just don't cut it. You were very lucky to not get one with the bulky IFE screens like I always luck out on, which are literally in your face when the person in front reclines (which they always do!) Zero legroom is ok for a couple of hours, but not for a longhaul flight. If you think Qantas is good, then you would love JAL or ANA, the 2 major Japanese airlines. They have much newer and nicer planes, plenty of legroom (which makes a huge difference to comfort on a long flight), modern IFE, great food (choice of Asian/Western), staff who always give good customer service, etc. JAL can be booked with Qantas FF points (though they have recently raised the fees massively), and ANA can be booked using Virgin Velocity points. If paying cash, ANA has return flights under $1,000 which include a Japanese domestic flight at each end of the trip if you want to use it. 😀

Great review, not a fan of Qantas on their 737 flights due to lack of leg room but their A330 is comfortable, I flew QF from HKG to MEL a few months ago. Flight was quite empty and had an exit row

As I kid I loved the A330, but now that I fly quite a bit I have to say that every single A330-300 experience I had was bad. Mostly because of terribly dated interior (looking at you SWISS) but somehow also the crew? Not sure what's up with that plane type :-D
