Pacific has the most lush sounding strings however it does lack features that CSS has, so you really have to be adept in mastering and mixing to make it to drive out its full potential

Beautiful music and all are high-quality libraries…but for some reason, only a few make stronger bond with the soul :) I guess it reminds you of a scene, a favorite movie, composition, some part of your life or similar. I’m searching for strings to buy, so I’m comparing options, but deep down, I know I love Pacific Strings the most 😊 🤷 cant help it

Please do a TSS Tokyo scoring strings vs CSS, the 2.0 update adds a cinema mix which tries to replicate the CSS sound. I think it's better than CSS, pairs amazing with pacific.

@@PhantasiaMusic TSS is generally fairly dry, there's a few new mixed patches with the 2.0 which sound good out of the box. But the best thing about TSS that I love is the Lookahead feature it has. Really helps in terms of setting portamento/legato/spiccato/pizzicatos and any other articulations through midi editing for tweaking. And the biggest gripe I have with it is its a sum total of 260+ gigs which is crazy to me for a Strings only library. 😅😅

Did you play the sequence for each library? Otherwise this isn't really a good test...MIDI can not be just copied and pasted without a lot of editing for each libraries nuances.
@PhantasiaMusic
@PhantasiaMusic 2 ай бұрын
Hey Jake, I adjusted the sequence for each individual library as just copy and paste would not be a fair comparison!;) But to be completely honest I have to admit anyway that I originally composed this sequence with Pacific Ensemble Strings.

Advise me, my friend❤, how do I start composing and what tools do I need in addition to the cubase, knowing that I am a tin whistler player ^_^
@PhantasiaMusic
@PhantasiaMusic 2 ай бұрын
Hey man, for the beginning I would recommend you an All-in-One sample library (like Jaeger for more cinematic music or Nucleus for more orchestral music) and also a MIDI Keyboard. Depending on your soundcard you probably need an audio interface as well and also a microphone if you want to record your own tin whistle!;) You can take a look at my Live Composing Tutorial where I‘m using Jaeger exclusively, to see if you like the sound. Good luck and Happy Composing!🥳✌️
