No unfortunately not! The Medium Mix is not the same as the Tree mic and not available in the newer Spitfire Symphony Orchestra. These mixes only exist in the Professional version of SSS.

Hi, very good tutorial. Monophonic orchestration is a good place to start when you're first learning. I would be very interested in how your melody would sound in polyphonic or homophonic orchestration.

Great melody! Just try to use less parallel motion. Strings should move in opposite directions to the bass line when possibile. Use some counterpoint inside the voices to try create more movement inside the chords. Parellel motion is great in some epic scenarios, but it sounds a bit boring and scholar otherwise. :)

Ich würde den Track gerne als Übung nachbauen. Kannst du mir sagen welche Tonart das ist, die Auflösung ist nicht so dolle und daher kann ich das nur schwer entziffern, oder noch besser hast du Noten für den Piano part ? Grüße.. :-)

Hi Bernd, der Track ist in E-Dur. Du kannst aber die Auflösung einfach höher stellen, dann solltest du die einzelnen Pianonoten problemlos lesen können!;)

Hi, i answer in english now, so to serve more people access to my question and your answer: I have the plan to rebuild your track just for exercise reasons. I am quite an experienced piano player ( not a professional musician ) I inputtet the exact notes i see in the video in your editor-, in my cubase editor via step input but the result sounded not very pleasing. It sounded somewhat robot-like, i also did set the same setting for quantization. but it still doesen`t sound like your very beautiful piano part. I know this video is more about orchestrating and developing the entire track, but is there a chance, you can make a video on how you start the piano track only from scratch. ? You said that you use the NOIR Piano from NI, i did the same but it sounded very diffrent, also in your editor there is a g and a gis ( g# ) and a f and a fis ( f#) written out, but they are on the exactly same editor-line. When playing in e-major there is not really g or f to be used !?! I think many people would be intrested in how exactly you really construct the piano part only.. do you use step input , or do you play it in with a midi controller ? Please don`t get me wrong i really love your work, but i want to fully understand the process to be able to tecnically develop my own ideas once they are worked out on the real acoustic piano.. Hi Bernd, I don’t think that I will make another video only for the piano part at the moment. But maybe I can show my process on the piano in my next composing tutorial in more detail!;) Have you tried to use the sustain pedal as well? I always record my instruments using a midi controller (mostly CC 1 and CC 11).

Echt sehr hilfreich dein Tut! 😉😍 Doch noch eine zweigeteilte Frage (deswegen ist dieser Kommentar bearbeitet): a.) wie viele Instanzen kannst du laden, bevor dein Computer schlapp macht - und b.) ich finde es für mich persönlich besser, wenn nach und nach die einzelnen Instrumente die Bühne betreten. Hi Frank, bei Cubase gibt es noch die Elements und die Artist Version, ich weiß aber nicht genau, welche Features diese bieten, da ich schon immer mit der Professional Version arbeite. Und ja die angeschlagenen Tasten siehst du in Cubase schon, wenn du in dem jeweiligen Key Editor bist - falls ich dich richtig verstehe. Danke für dein positives Feedback!🤗 Freut mich zu hören!:) Und ich gebe dir völlig Recht - in einem normalen Stück kommen die einzelnen Instrumente natürlich nach und nach, aber in dieser Sequenz wollte ich die volle Power auf einmal entfesseln!😅 Mittlerweile habe ich meinen PC upgegraded und stoße seitdem nicht mehr an ein Limit bezüglich der Spurenanzahl!;)
