Hey. Love the content. If you've covered this before, apologies. What is the belt system where you are? I started (restarted, perhaps more accurately) january this year. I'm from the UK. Seems mad to me that you are doing this as a white belt?
@AngelJudoАй бұрын
I appreciate the support man. So from my understanding, Junior ranks (U18) it goes white, yellow, orange, green, blue, purple,brown,black. However, senior ranks( or at least my experience ) it goes white, green, brown, and then black. Also mad in a good way or bad way? 😂
@dickiedavis5240Ай бұрын
@AngelJudo good way, definitely. Really impressive, and usefully instructional also. Shout out to you! Here, seniors go white, red, yellow, orange, green, blue, brown, black. And white belts cannot do probably any of what you did there, which was why I was surprised!

If the immobilisation is out of the yellow surface, the referee had to say mate .

I believe if there is inactivity for several seconds past the yellow then he calls mate. If youre still attacking it is okay.

These guys must be be the most terrible blue belts I've seen in Judo in 28 years of training.

These guys were not blue belts. Those belts were to denote that they are the second opponent that would be wearing a blue gi. First guy was a green belt and second was orange belt.

When you picked your gi did you pick one size smaller to make it more fitted? If so is that the reason your gi skirt is smaller?

Any tips on where to have kids take Judo classes in northeast Ohio? Can’t find a place. Everything is BJJ or Tae kwon do
@AngelJudo6 ай бұрын
In all honesty, if you are unable to find a Judo dojo then BJJ will work just fine as they will still be learning fundamental skills for grappling. Once they're able to build a foundation, it'll help to drill takedowns (which BJJ does also have). Hope this helps.

You have some great timing and intuition. You should work on your grips alot tho. The right vs right default grip is a horrible habit if you get to a certain level
@AngelJudo Жыл бұрын
I appreciate the comment man, are you suggesting switching to left handed grip when up against a right handed judoka?
@Memeshollanda Жыл бұрын
@@AngelJudo yeah, switching to left grip is good if you get stuck. You undo your opponents grip that way and you can go for a right ippon seoi nage with the left grip. Also you can try to get your right hand over the top or underneath, this way you can easier to control your opponent and have more leverage.
