Judo White Belt Wins GOLD in Light Heavyweight Division

Huge thanks to everyone for the support I very much appreciate it!
This is my second competitive showing in Judo at white belt about 2 months after graduating so I'm a bit rusty here.
The belts that my opponents are wearing are simply to make a distinction as to who the second opponent is, traditionally the second opponent would be wearing a blue gi.
My opponents were green belt and orange belt respectively.

Very nice - well done 🎉 I can see you’ve improved a lot since the last video. Also, very impressive to pull off ippon with Hiza Garuma - it’s an advanced technique and you executed it very well. I’m gonna watch it many more times, and try learn from you on this technique.

If the immobilisation is out of the yellow surface, the referee had to say mate .

I believe if there is inactivity for several seconds past the yellow then he calls mate. If youre still attacking it is okay.

These guys must be be the most terrible blue belts I've seen in Judo in 28 years of training.

These guys were not blue belts. Those belts were to denote that they are the second opponent that would be wearing a blue gi. First guy was a green belt and second was orange belt.

@@AngelJudo Okay, thanks for clearing that up. My apologies. In the UK we just wear either a blue Gi or white Gi to clarify different players.

@@davidcrawford8583Not a problem, thats also the case here traditionally, however, this was a local competition so they were lax with the gi colors
