This is probably the best and simplest way of explaining the CSP process to a beginner i've seen so far. Thank you for the easy to understand breakdown!

How to you connect your tablet with your laptop
@fjordwindКүн бұрын
When you buy such a tablet the cables for this purposes are included, usually its something hdmi like but many have usb C already. I have a whole video about that :The ONLY tools YOU need for Digital Art kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5TEfWSMp8agnc0

For the tablets you suggested that aren't apple products, what program would you suggest that isn't procreate
@fjordwind12 күн бұрын
Maybe try krita first because its free. Xlip studio paint isn’t free but I like it a lot for my pen display !

for the first time I have seen a comprehensive tutorial of digital art for beginners, while drawing something simple and beautiful. this is amazing, thank you!
@TheBlackCrayon7716 күн бұрын
This is a wonderful example of the younger generation teaching someone older like me something really useful. I have been painting and drawing traditionally my entire life. I was recently turned on to digital art as a way to help me speed up my design stage of my paintings and art in general. Only when I got my first drawing tablet, I knew nothing about how to use it. So Many videos on KZbin are great and mean well, only they are either too difficult or not specific to beginners. So I'd like to say thank you young lady. An expertly done lesson with very clear steps, and a realistic place to start for anyone trying art on a tablet.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad to hear that the tutorial was helpful for you, especially as you transition into digital art. It's wonderful to see generations come together to share and learn from each other's experiences!

Hi, I have a question... Just like probably many others like me, are switching from paper to digital drawing. Struggling with which iPad to get and which one still meets the security updates/performance in the specification you need to be able to draw digitally, for example, I have everything Android/Windows at home and that is why I don't know anything about Apple, I have research done and I found out that Procreate cannot be used on an Android device.. I wondered which iPad fits, because as a starting artist we all understand that you don't want to spend € 1500 on an iPad, as a € 400, - also meets the requirements or rather you are trying out whether digital drawing is something for me at all.... Does anyone have any tips?
@fjordwindКүн бұрын
Sorry for the late reply, apples security updated go back to about 10 years - i just sold my 2018 ipad pro for about 400€ and it will still be sufficient for beginners for about 2 years 🙂 maybe you can find a similar offer somewhere !

You could also get a galaxy tab with s pen. It’s awesome with sketchbook. Clip studio also works well. Cheaper than an iPad and comes included with stylus.

@fjordwind21 күн бұрын
If you’re just starting out the regular iPad together with procreate will do. Every ipad from 6th gen up supports an apple pencil

12,9" iPad Pro and Procreate is by far the most satisfying experience. So much smoother than working on a pen display connected to your laptop. If you're on a tight budget, make sure to buy an older used iPad Pro. Everything from 2018 version works great. 128-256 GB space should be enough for most cases.
@Musixprducer101-db8fy27 күн бұрын
Ok. But could I buy just a pen and use my computer or mobile phone as the tablet? I tell you, because I don't want a tablet that occupates too much space.

Anyone who can use a mouse can use a pen tablet instead of a display tablet. They're less expensive, have all the same features, have a longer lifespan and your hand doesn't block your view. It's also really good for people who don't want to wreck their backs hunching over a screen. It doesn't take long to get used to not looking at your hand while drawing. You already do that when using your mouse which most people are doing all the time.

My advice for using Linux is this: Huion is really the only brand that has good drivers, and even then I still had to make some custom tools and such. If you use CSP like me windows/mac is probably the only option as Linux can’t access your license.
@asteriiee_Ай бұрын
I apologise if this question has already been answered but you stated there were literally jobs out there that people would pay others to colour in their work? Does anyone have any more info on that? Google isn’t much help😂

Hello, I've been looking at Purchasing Procreate for my iPad. I design apparel & accessories & have always sketched on paper but want to be able to send my designs to the manufacturer that I will be using to create my collection. I also would like to send my designs to a print on demand company as well. However, most of the time they want your graphics to be vector-based. It looks like Procreate doesn't have Vector capabilities?
@fjordwindАй бұрын
No procreate does not support vector graphics !
@DoreenMunoz911Ай бұрын
@@fjordwind thank you so much for your help, I greatly appreciate it. So you can't use Procreate for any print on demand items. Wow, that is a big issue for me. I have to send graphics to the company I work with that prints my designs on clothing & accessories. Most of them want the graphics to be vector based. Thank you.
@fjordwindАй бұрын
Thats actually a pitty ! I wonder why they are not fine with big pngs…but you could think of using clip studio paint or adobe illustrator for vector graphics.

I am gonna get a tablet with display from the get-go, I cannot stand using my finger to draw. I used to draw way back, and wanted to get back into it, but using digital this time around, if I find out it is not for me, I am gonna gift it to my niece that loves to draw. So either way it is a win imho. Thanks for the video, I have no idea what to get going into this, and this gave some pointers, especially on the software side. Only thing I am wondering about is side stuff, like do I need a glove when drawing? Seems handy.

I just got my XP-Pen Artist 15.6 Pro and I'll be trying this out soon! I tried Krita and it's quite overwhelming (and I know Clip Studio Paint will be, too). I'm trying to figure out which software will be best for me on PC, but I'm most likely going to use Clip Studio Paint. I hope to find some good tutorials just for getting comfortable with the software. I think I'll try this video first 😁
