Good morning everyone. I know this is not a grief support group but I lost my wife February 10, 2021. We were at Providence St. Vincent Hospital as she needed a Newport put in her arm for dialysis. I’ve been with her in the hospital a few days. She couldn’t remember my name because after they tried to do the surgery to replace the port. She started going downhill. I will call her on the phone and she couldn’t even remember who I was. I said to the nurse what’s wrong. And they told me that sometimes after surgery this can happen. Well about two or three days later. I had gone home for the evening. To get some sleep if you can’t sleep in the hospital. Very well I tried that. Well then, in the middle of the night, they took her down to ICU and hooked her up to life support. As I got back in the morning, I went up to her room and she wasn’t there. They told me she was an ICU she needed more care. I had gone down there and I was back in the room after going through number of security gates. As it was Covid time. I went back there. And they gave me a wooden chair to sit in by her bed. Well, they needed to run test and they needed to do some of the things so they really needed to take her off the life support to do this stuff. I turned to Dr. Bob and I said is she going to survive and he said I can keep her alive indefinitely. Well, the decision was taken to have removed off the machine so they could try to get the other things done they needed to do. As a consequence, holding her hand, she died. And I I fell apart. I went outside to get some air. When I came back and they had already taken her down to the fridge. I didn’t even get a chance to spend time with her in the ICU. All I have left on her shoes, her glasses, some Christmas ornaments that she made for each year that we were together. I miss her so much. I wish she could come back. It’s been such a long time. You wake up alone you go to bed alone you eat alone you have nobody anymore. You think you might find love again. But all I found is a bunch of people trying to scam me. I haven’t found anyone genuine who wants to get to know me. This is my story. She’s gone now. The ring has gotten too big for my fingers since I’ve lost weight so I wear it around another cord around my neck necklace. It’s so the wedding band with a beautiful inscription that she wrote inside. Anyway, thank you for taking time to read, it’s a long post and I know this is not a grief support group, but I’m sure there are people up here who can relate what I’m going through. I don't know how to explain this the last year of my life that's been the worst of my life. When I was raped as a child, I was 15 years in law enforcement.... That is PTSD in itself ...I've had a tough life my entire life but in August of 2023 my mother shot my father in front of me. They weren't together they were divorced for 10 years but she shot him in front of me.. when I went to work on him because I was a first responder for 15 years.. She put the gun in my back. My wife of 20 years stopped her and then she turned the gun on my wife and at that time which I've never put my hands on my mother.. I took her down. I got the gun away after she pulled the trigger when it was in my stomach. Thank God I had training on how to disarm it and keep it from firing and it jammed but then my wife who we're together for 20 years but one year after we got together.. she had two bad diagnosis She had MS and After that she got breast cancer 11 years After that she got it again. We always push each other to survive but it ain't much. I lost my father arrested and disowned my mother so I lost my mother and my father and my wife of 20 years all in 7 months and I was 17 when we got together. I'm completely lost and completely broken. I was already the rock of the family and our relationship but I just feel like sand. If that makes any sense,... I would love to be in your group if I could

can i ask you a question? i usually enjoy a night out in the hammock, or campfire and usually they are just randomly chosen on the night of the full moon. any full moon. well tonight i was feeling like a fire so i did, its july 21 2024, as the fire died down and the larger branches sank into the middle, a lone branch lay along the side, inside the pit stones. it had burned into a symbol i recognized but didnt know so i pulled it from the fire. the symbol was Fehu. do you have any insight as to what this could represent on such a day? it was discoverd just after midnight. and i have decided to keep it. Thanks for your attention!
