Wow. This is a one of a kind creative interpretation demonstrating his extremely high level of mastery. What year is this ?

What happened at 1:44 Liszt!? You transcribed the symphony so well up until then! It would have been so easy to do the simply dotted rythm octaves as they.... simle enough that if I even play this, I'll just rewrite the parts I don't like :P

Why does Liszt add two extra bars compared to the original around 3:30? Here Katsaris plays the right version like the original.

This etude is amazing, I would say this piece is inspired by 0:00 Henselt etude op 2 no 1 0:58 Scriabin op 42 no 5 (the middle part) 1:17 Maybe "Un Sospiro" by F. Liszt.

This is the only classical score that I know of that actually looks like the scores that MIDI software tries to make from real-time piano playing. With all those tied notes and everything

However, it was not long before something unexpectedly most unfortunate happens. Out of nowhere, Mr. Penguin’s precious ice cream train falls apart and breaks down! Mr. Penguin was heartbroken. With his ice cream train now busted and out of commission, how is he ever going to fulfill his best friend’s birthday wish at his birthday party at the Punta Tombo Beach in Argentina? However, there was still hope. Luckily for Mr. Penguin, Rocket transforms himself into a train, because Rocket knew that he could make a great replacement for Mr. Penguin’s ice cream train! So without a minute to spare, our four brave young heroes; Leo, Annie, Quincy, and June, and their trustworthy new friend, Mr. Penguin, set off to ride the tracks over the Andes Mountains of Patagonia to deliver the ice cream to the birthday party at the Punta Tombo Beach in Argentina before the unbearable tropical summer heat melts all of the ice cream!

The Paris Conservatory also denied Cesar Franck's admission for not being born in France, either. It was policy they fell back on, often, not just with Gottschalk. Interestingly, his street cred in Paris seemed to go up for being the "exotic American", so his French publisher put "Gottschalk de la Louisiane" to play up on this notion. He's our first Elvis, an American born international superstar.

Interesting in this context is that, which many do not know, Gottschalk in his early youth was one of Chopin's students.
