This was the first track that played when I opened Battlefield 1 for the very first time on my sisters Xbox.. I fell in love immediately with the game, even tho I always despised such fast paced MP shooters like BF or CoD and prefer more realistic shooters. But BF1 has something special in it and I keep coming back to play it, even bought it on my own PC afterwards. And sometimes I just stop and admire the music..

The last great battlefield. BFV had some good aspects, gunplay was solid but its atmosphere, colour palette and vibe was way off for a ww2 shooter. 2042 was a disappointing mess lacking content. Take me back to BF1, one of the last FPS games I truly dedicated time to. Baller Home Screen theme, atmosphere, maps, weapon catalogue. Just memories playing operations or conquest doming people with the martini Henry complaining about helriegal users with 100 service stars.

Give me chills...

This soundtracks kinda reminds me of Medal of Honor.. well it’s just me. 😅

You just envision the scene of battleships and dreadnoughts sailing off to battle through a storm and eventually out of it as it drops at around 1:49 with a birds eye shot of the fleet coming out of the storm with a sunset or sunrise illuminating it all

The real raid on Zeebrugge harbour saw the British attempt to sink a few old and useless ships of their own in the mouth of the harbour, thereby sealing access to it for German merchant ships. The battle saw 1 British destroyer sunk, 0 canon fodder ships successfully placed, 227 marines dead and 356 wounded. On the German side there were 16 wounded and only 8 dead. Point is, it's about the only time a map oversold its real version, and canonically the Germans win with an average kdr of 34,6. It also makes the map feel more comfortable for me at least, after all, a lot of good people would live to walk away from this one

It’s like its the echoes of the good souls who died during the War. No matter their faction. They were all people who didn’t want to be there. Thats what this music makes me think. Untold stories never to be spoken but heard.

This played after a game of frontlines where we pushed right to the enemy objective and then we got pushed all the way back and lost, this came on I found it relaxing asaf even after the defeat lol
