Hahaha!! Right the hell on. Man you were flying. I've seen plenty of gas powered bicycles, that's the 1st gas powered trike. Great, now I have to build one. Dammit Tye!! Hahaha

I just bought a 1982 Schwinn tri wheeler I am confused on how rear end is supposed to function. I raided back end up and when pedal only the left side is powered. Is this normal? Does the other wheel engage when it needs to but not continually in unison with the other wheel, or something wrong with mine?
@invalidtye Жыл бұрын
It should spin either side if you have the opposite tire on the ground.

So glad to find this Tye and fixing to watch #2. I just picked up one of these but mine is a single speed. Guy bought it for his mother 39 years ago and said she only road it once around yard. It's been in garage since. He was selling for $50 and I was going to get it but he messaged back and apologized that tires or tube may need replaced, but if I still wanted it, he'd take $20. I JUMPED ON IT. It looks totally immaculate but after I let all that extra air out that he'd just put in and buldged the tubes out, then put more air in, not overdoing it, they've been fine since. The real problem I found is when I first rode it, it did fine to end of drive but then it started free spinning. I noticed the chain came off. I reinstalled chain. Rode it again and it start free spinning again, yet chain hadn't come off 🤔 I know nothing of these things. I'm going to watch part 2 now 🙏

You can still get parts and even upgrades for this the company is still around. There's even a front hub that converts it to an ebike

Had one of those in a 78 Blazer with 2 open rears it was not uncommon to see these vehicles stuck in snow ice and mud...it was almost like it wasn't a 4X4 at all LOL! I had mine stuck in town in 4 inches of snow on top of ice, I got out with the blazer still in drive and the left front and right rear wheel were spinning away LOL! It was a nice Blazer but that system was a disappointment.

Check out the np203 double transfer case shifters.
@HighGear7445 Жыл бұрын
That isn't the fault of the transfer case as it was doing it's job. My78 Blazer with the 203 had rear posi so 3 wheels locking up when needed.

Pull the rear end shaft and swap the sprocket side over the other rear tire to get the motor inside the frame :)
@cobranaja2667 Жыл бұрын
Loc-Tite the backside of the sprocket first that way if it feels like it needs more done you can do it a lot easier from the front. Cool Build!

Thanks I checked out the Swin trike an it looked pretty cool! did you ever finish it? this video helped alot. Ive never fixed a bicycle before and i found this ez roll regal 3speed at my local dump and knew i just had to get it and restore it. Inspiration from people like you and "Hand Tool Rescue" and "My Mechanics" have inspired me to repair and fix it. May need some more help in the future, never done this before Thanks!

Inner axle has retainer collars to pull the axles out. Hubs come off the axles from the outside. Take a look at my video Iron Swine Trike build.
