Thanks I checked out the Swin trike an it looked pretty cool! did you ever finish it? this video helped alot. Ive never fixed a bicycle before and i found this ez roll regal 3speed at my local dump and knew i just had to get it and restore it. Inspiration from people like you and "Hand Tool Rescue" and "My Mechanics" have inspired me to repair and fix it. May need some more help in the future, never done this before Thanks!

That custom one with the differential is the one I got. Mine is and old Schwinn town and country tricycle and unfortunately that one came with skinny ass tires which I don’t like but oh well I want to get a second tricycle cause I want to build a pedal car without having to make the rear axle from scratch although I’m definitely going to have to build the steering system from scratch

@@rolandoherbaz7093 thanks and I'm still working on it my plans unfortunately keep getting stalled but I'm not giving up on it. I've just got to keep drawing my concept and keep working on my plans until I can get what I need to start building and testing my concept

Found you on Facebook. I was hoping this video would have something about the Huffy in it, but that's OK. I have some images of the pieces of the Huffy rear axle assembly. I will look up the link and send it to you.

Great job and really explains a lot. Glad you mentioned where to get bearings at a reasonable price. I got a new meridian. And been studying the rear axle and wheel problems. I see many have had drive wheel problems, bent axles, broken spokes. Does not seem to be many options to fix this as the parts are only thru schwinn. Thought about converting the axle to one that allows sun drive wheels but would be going from a 15 mm to 17 mm axle which would seem weaker yet allow use of higher spokecount wheels. Looked at changing it to a 3 speed but seems those who tried failed or got a system with problems working right. Did see a 8 inch quad 3 speed hub at sturmy It's the only one theright length but not sure if that works on a trike.

Hello! I have almost the same old model and I don't know how to take out the differential because I have problem with one of the axis. How can I disassemble?

I leave the pins in the hubs if possible. Soak the bearings with penetrating oils and press them out with a car jack. Dont bend the frame!

Find me on Facebook. I can help.

Ho I forgot one thing ... Thanks a lot !!!
@slipinn7 жыл бұрын
That's should read a 17 mm down to a 15 mm. As all the sun style parts seem to be 15 mm

most of my trikes are older. I have 5/8 inch and 3/4 inch axles on most. newer ones run the metric system. as long as the hubs and bearings are the right size there is almost no difference.
