Yeah you're right I should have added that in there. I can always make a separate video on how to do that and also other adjustments that should be checked as well.

@@Madcap_Carburation86 I have the same carburetor if the float is stuck does that mean I have to rebuild it or get it rebuilt It’s gas Squirting everywhere

Great video boss man. I bought a rebuild kit from quadrajet power and will be using your steps. Very comprehensive and no B.S. It's refreshing to watch. I was intimidated at taking on this project before, I'm not so scared now, lol. thanks Pal.. The way I look at it? I had my 9mm beretta completely in pieces for a thorough cleaning, and i got it back together shooting better than ever. If I can do that? this shouldn't be too bad.

Hello how difficult is it to do stage 2 or 3 cause I have a 77 350 HD quadrajet that I would like to use on my olds 461 with big cam thanks

Are you talking about modifying the Quadrajet? It's not difficult to do you pretty much just need a set of micro drill bits, a couple different sets of primary Jets and rods, and then also secondary rods. Also main air bleeds. I would recommend using the cliff ruggles Quadrajet book he's got some good tips in there on Quadrajet modifications that I use.

@@cadillac9142 it might need a rebuild but it might not. You can unstuck the float by taking the air horn off and checking the needle and seat. A lot of times the needle can get stuck open. But from past experience if the needle is getting stuck open a lot of times it's because there's gunk in the carburetor. I would say depending on how the inside of the carburetor looks that will determine if you need to rebuild it or not. Or maybe it just needs a good cleaning

Does that rebuild apply to other model quadrajets...the same process and steps?

So some stuff would apply to other quadrajets but there's many different variations of the Quadrajet. This video applies to a 1970 Chevrolet Quadrajet.

Rochester Quadrajets get a bad name, but I personally think they're great carbs...I have several in my garage that I've collected through the years and will be rebuilding them as soon as I feel comfortable that I can...
