I hate it when the track employees are like, " why are you inspecting the karts. They're all the same." Well this tie rod is bent, those tires are trash, that bumper is dragging, that belt is missing teeth.........

@@jacobstowe2 I have never seen it that bad. Most of the time all the tyres are trash, and the only noticeable difference is engine performance, which I can only notice when on circuit. Sometimes bent chassis too, but again, thats hard to notice when on the ground

@@oren2000 depends on type of rentals I guess. Sodis are really understeery imo. Also I don't think I was understeering a lot

I've got a question. Overtaking slower karts is doable but a few months ago I raced at a very narrow track and the driver in front of me would have been like 5sec per lap slower or even more. He didn't use racing lines or anything and was cpmpltetly unpredictable. I couldn't overtake him and lost much time. How can I overtake such slow people?

@@timoslejhar1311 most drivers like that will be very slow on corner exits, so try to time a good switchback/exit and you should be able to overtake him

@@timoslejhar1311 you just have to look at how he enters and try to predict which way the kart goes. If you get it right, you will 100% overtake him

How do you get penalties while karting? Because I’m assuming there’s no one to communicate the penalty to the driver during the race. Was it a penalty that carried forward from a previous race?

@@tempest3161 penalties for contact, track limits etc. there is a digital board on the start finish line which displays your number if you get a warning or penalty

Yeah it was for sure his fault. His front wheel was alongside your sidepod at the apex meaning it’s your line but also if I were you I would give him a tiny bit of space since keeping to your line meant losing a position whereas leaving a cars width of space on track means you can still fight for it

@@truevegasWe all have to back out at times, sometimes if you don't it leads to really bad accidents, which has happened to me twice. So yes, racing drivers back out.

The main thing to learn is how to see and really FEEL good racing lines. Once you’ve got that down implementing them like you explained will put you way above any noob

Depends how far alongside you he was but if he was less than halfway you would’ve probably spun or drifted and so it was probably your fault since it was his corner, in racing you never assume a driver backed off because most drivers are a bit stubborn and if you wanna check just look back

Overtaker's responsibility to make a clean overtake. you can't just close in on their line like that while they are still there.
