Chinese has proceeded scientists in US. US doctors and researchers are being sleeping for years with out any chronic diseases like diabetes which killing the US economy but no one gives his attention. Many families are being influenced negatively in the world. The world did not bring any revolution toward the hope of diabetics of whom they became victims of health world wide for almost a century.

Hello again, just a quick update for you. Finally for the first time in a very long time i have managed to get my HBA1C in normal range, that's since starting on Dexcom One. However, i have now been told that because of that ' there is little chance of me getting on a pump......like at all and if i really want to go on one i'm going to have to push the Diabetes Care Team relentlessly . This is not the news i wanted. I hope you're well and doing OK. Quick question, have you Heard of the "Dexcom One Plus"?

Diabetes is the longest known and medicated disease .The main differences between diabetes AAND other illnesses like heart disease it is not short term length to death if you have it.Because it can be controlled by medication there is not a serious cure attempt by pharmaceutical companies who are making billions of pounds around the world (while trying to find a cure). The medical professionals have known the cause symptoms etc for years yet unlike far more complicated illnesses have not made much progress unlike Cancer,Heart and other known diseases ( the expression cash cow comes to mind).

I've been finding Lyumjev pretty effective when injected with syringe, but much less so in the pump - it's both slower and less potent then. Also, I've noticed its effect tails off on third day. Worst is that it tends to be a bit painful, even just with basal. It's not so much the pain that's problematic, as what it indicates: if the site is constantly irritated, it's going to cause tissue damage and probably resistant hard fat build-up. I also found there was a bit of bleeding after taking off cannula, probably because it works by dilating blood vessels. I figured it may be best to inject anything over 2 units with a syringe, but that rather defeats the purpose of the pump, to a degree. I'd probably rather go back to Humalog, but that's now unavailable for the foreseeable future in UK. Novorapid I found pretty disastrous. On Fiasp/Lyumjev bunging up pump, I think it is connected to the temperature, so best to keep pump away from body in a pouch. As for stacking via correction doses, I've found it can be better, if there is some insulin on board, to do 10 min vigorous exercise to knock BG down. However, sometimes it inexplicably has no effect whatever.

I am not a diabetic. I do however know several men that are. All of them are disabled and I give them rides to the VA hospital when I am in the country. One such guy uses the Dexcom G-6 along with the Omnipod-5. The VA doesn't have Lyumjev available in their formulary. However, his Medicare drug plan does. He switched from Novolog to Lyumjev and told me the stinging was light and goes away quickly. What he likes most about Lyumjev is his standard deviation has dropped from the low 30s to 22%. This lower number means he has better control. His A1C shows it.

I switched to lyumjev a few months ago after taking either humalog or novalog for many years. I’m not on a pump. The lyumjev is horrible I have major insulin resistance issues to it I have to take 3-4 times more for corrective doses than I did for humalog. I’m switching back to humalog.

You actually ment to give the sensor 12 to 24 before it will start to give correct readings. The dexcom also more accurate than libra 1&2 but libre3 is the better of them all.

I now use Lyumjev. After using Apidra prior. Maybe its faster. A few minutes faster. Its not revolutionary. It does not bring blood sugars down instantly. It still takes an hour plus. Use it in the T:slim pump. Sometimes it stings a little bit.

Hey, Ive only just seen this podcast now, a year later I appreciate, but its really useful to view and hear. Alex is someone I follow on Twitter / X and she always gives great advice. I am amazed though I have to say that her early "pump" journey was so easy, if only it was that way for all. One day, an enjoyable podcast.

Hi, a great video comparing the two. Its so individual isn't it as to how every person reacts differently to Fiasp and Lyumjev. These comments are only what I have found, everyone else has a different view. Fiasp is 'ok' to a point. Its good for cannula changes, no sting for me, BUT the big downside is that getting down from a high after a cannula change takes forever- 4 hours for me today and am at last in single figures I liked using Lyumjev apart from the cannula changes which were painful at best. However based on this video and the fact Lyumjev maybe the answer, I think I'm going to have to go with it. Good luck everyone on a pump and HCL, changing insulins is a big deal.

With the d1 sensor working after 12-14hrs can the sensors be applied early before they are activated? I currently apply my libre 2, 24hrs before i activate it as i found that the readings are much more accurate that way.

Regenerating beta cells, might, indeed cause the pancreas to make insulin again. Though, I suspect the body will merely attack such regenerated cells, all over again.

Hi hope you're well, Thought I would give you a quick update. I'm now on 3rd Dexcom One sensor and i'm loving it. I attended a clinic appointment with my HCP and she was really happy with the results i'm getting. I also have the Dexcom Clarity app which my HCP accessed my data from at the appointment. Now comes more good news, she doing me a referrel for the Diabetes consultant to be assessed for going on the Omnipod. Fingers crossed they say i'm eligible. Anyways, take care and stay safe. Suzy

Absolutely agree about the libre 2, I've had about 12 failed ones since the start of June, either crapped out half way, or really dangerously inaccurate readings. I can only conclude something has changed because they used to be fine, and I swear I'm not doing anything daft. The fact that the support staff replace without question, surprise or even wanting the old one back for analysis most of the time, suggests they know there's an issue. I'm considering the dexcom one too, also in the UK like you, so thanks for the video! Quick question: is there a phone desktop or lock screen widget showing your BG for the dexcom one?
