Wow! Steaming at those speeds must've been a "refreshing shock" to her 70+ year ol' Knottsberry "legs" !..... I bet she enjoyed the chance to stretch'em out a bit..... A sight to behold !!

Ain't she a purty "C"-beast..... It appears that Durango did a first rate job on the #41 !! Kinda takes me back to my "CRRM Daze" steaming the #346 during the 1960's !! Thanks for this fine series of Videos, Whit !!

"Oh, i thought the 463 & 464 was the only two remaining. Cool to have a third one running!" "Hold on...." Got me good.

Thank you for this. I am a person who believes that inanimate objects have souls and feelings. I think it is wonderful to see such a great engine chuffing along on a route she was made to travel. I understand that she must go back to KBF, but I cannot help wonder if she would not be happier traveling on unfettered track instead of going round and round every day at a VERY reduced speed on a limited basis. The shots of her running were great and she looked perfect moving at a good clip. Thank you again!

Hello Bob, the arrival of the K36#489 with its train in Sublette is very nice. Eating in Osier and continuing on the narrow gauge railway through autumnal New Mexico and Colorado. Fantastic filming, thanks for showing it and best wishes from Germany.

Wow, Bob great footage of the aspens and the trains. Does the #489 have as much power as #488 that runs on coal. How is this train working, 489. Just don’t like to smell oil burning. Love the smell of coal. Thanks keep up the great photography work there. Just love the Chana area. 👍👍👍‼️‼️

I always love seeing these older videos of the Durango & Silverton. Since 486 is my favorite locomotive there (and in the world), it’s super awesome to see footage of her first run on the D&SNG! This footage is truly terrific, great work!

Is it alright if I use your narrow gauge footage for a private music video I’m making? If not that’s fine
