It still amazes me that D&S managed to do this, seeing how the engine is owned by Knotts Berry Farm in California. Sure, this is only temporary, but it's nice seeing 41 getting to go faster than 5-10 miles an hour for once and for the first time in 7 decades. I sure would've loved to see this irl myself, but I've seen this engine a lot over the year so that is something I'm ok with.

Ain't she a purty "C"-beast..... It appears that Durango did a first rate job on the #41 !! Kinda takes me back to my "CRRM Daze" steaming the #346 during the 1960's !! Thanks for this fine series of Videos, Whit !!

A fantastic video of a fantastic locomotive. It makes me happy to see 41 back in Colorado under fire. I know it’s coming back to Knott’s but how wonderful to have the D and S work on the engine and test run it! I did not think this would ever happen! Fantastic!

42 is on display at the museum. I’m not sure for how long but she definitely is there. But she’s not in the best condition.

I live an hour east of a 3-foot narrow gauge railroad called the Huckleberry Railroad, and it has another one of Knotts Berry Farm's former locomotives, Denver and Rio Grande K-27 #464, though she's out of service right now, you can see it on their railfans weekend when they give tours of their restoration shop
