Did you take a day to make like 30 different goofy faces for your thumbnails? lol.... this track is killer for sure.

I'm an Epican, so happy to discover this one today too !! 🤩🥰🤪 Love that Simone tries some new approach of her singing, and to find the usual quality in the composition and the work of the super musicians of the band !

Profane as ever 😂. I really liked this and I'm sure the album will be no less awesome! As usual, the imagery here was great and on par with what they have done in the past. 2025 is going to be a great year for Metal, I can feel it in my horns! 🤘🤘

Love the imagery. The fast pacing felt a bit like music for an anime battle. The speed ramp-up I’m detecting in symphonic metal is making it less enjoyable, personally speaking. ••• PEACES!!!

Thank you so much for your open heart. It's the truth of creativity my friend, it leaves one in a state of amazement. Your choice of singer is good, she is the only one who mastered the song. I suggest you read the lyrics of the poem and while doing so try to make your soul travel to that atmosphere and time in which it was written. Thank you so much again. Be well.

Man. I discovered Behemoth in 2016 and I've been a fan ever since, though I never got to see them live. I immediately bought my ticket last year when they announced their 2025 tour. And I've been regretting that since they released this song.

another energetic song by Epica with a fiery groove riff and a cool, very unexpected twist at the end - “The final lullaby” (official video). And it’s much cooler than this one 😜
@edsonoliveira75214 сағат бұрын
There are many songs in Epica's discography in which Simone hits high notes. Whoever said she doesn't hit them certainly doesn't know the band's discography. One of the songs that has become popular on KZbin lately is Once Upon a Nightmare from the album The Holographic Principle in the Omega Alive version. 🤓
@mikedown32194 сағат бұрын
For me, what makes Epica stand out from the crowd is, the melodic flow of their songs. However heavy they get, there is always a melodic riff, vocal line or guitar solo just around the corner. As for Simone, not only has she not lost any of her range, she is a much better singer now than she has ever been. The range, strength , breath control and vocal styles are at their peak. If you want to hear her sing high, listen to the Ghost in Me live at Symphonic Synergy. Also, this may not be their best ever song but the previous offering from their new album, Arcana, is right up there. Really looking forward to the new album.

I agree with you. It's not their best but ti's still a very good song. Kinda felt like the safe song off the album, so I'm still very excited for the album!

Sounded a little Nightwish like to me. I like it!
@jonathanratliff47802 сағат бұрын
Newer Nightwish is not like this at all it’s more like a lullaby cinematic songs maybe older Nightwish but Epica has always done it better

Like most of their music, this was really exciting and full of energy. The vocals are always on point with this band. The riff was indeed chunky and reminded me a bit of a Guns N Roses track. I enjoyed this.

This had a cool sound to it. The drummer really did a good job at structuring this track. The choir in the background was great. Not a fan of the subject matter but it is what it is.

It's a pity you didn't make a reaction to the previous single "Arcana", it's much more solid and there are references to it in this video. About "cross the divide"... I don't like to criticize my favorite bands (and Epica is in my top 5 favorite bands), but I can't blindly admire if something confuses me. Many fans were outraged by the simplicity of the song. I was confused not by the simplicity, but by some disorganization. For example, I still don't understand the bridge after the 2nd chorus, it's strange and out of place. With Mark's vocals in the chorus or with a breakdown, this song would have become much more solid. Absolutely no complaints about Simone's vocals. The video is awesome. The song is already on the playlist, because it literally got stuck in my head right away. So I can't call it bad. But I don't like everything about it))) still

What i like with Simone is that she does what the song needs, no more no less. This song is a bit different from usual Epica and i like it. Love that they are doing more then grand Symfonic songs. Tho this song is band from my car, like to keep my driving license 😂. I really like the song and its growing on me more and more.

I agree with you, Tommy. It's one of the reasons I tend to like more mature voices. They may not be able to do all of the vocal gymnastics any more, but they know and understand their voices better and they have learned the value of emotion in the presentation of a song. I liked this song. It's not going to be a favorite by them for me, but I think it's a good, solid, entertaining song.

Loved this song live back in September, and I enjoy this rock and roll driven music he's been releasing so much. Can't wait for the album, it's going to be here next week and I hope the postal service doesn't lose it (the post losing my music is a meme at this point). I don't know if I have a favourite Marko song, there are quite a few. Have you heard "Pyre of Gods" from Tarot? Might be worth reacting to it, there's an official video here somewhere 👀

One of the most profound and emotional love songs of all time, even if in Finnish.. THe music is evocative AF, matched with words that go straight to the soul. I don't think she'll quite be able to beat the powerhouse that is Erika Vikman, but all of Finland is already talking about this as THE Wedding Song for the ages. I lost my young husband 8 years ago, and watching this words and singing along makes me sob. THis song will cement her in FInnish music history (her and the songwriters).

maybe already in the comments (sorry to be redundant), but I have heard that Zora read the 'Malleus Malificarum' (Witches' Hammer), the book the Church used to begin the Witch hunts of the 17th and 18th centuries and used it as her inspiration.

Yeah ABBA is something .. The thing is that they were married to each other .. blondes and brunettes .Can just imagine how hard it must been to stay together as a band after they broke up. Not really sure what happend really. Mom and dad never talked about or mention it. I met them a few time in the 80´s cause they are friends of the family
