For some people building back after lay-off or injury it's probably better to start lighter with HIGHER reps. And then gradually drop the reps to a mid/lower range while increasing the load. This is how I rehabilitated my shoulder injury.
@FitLifeAfter40s
@FitLifeAfter40s 2 күн бұрын
Agree, recovery from an injury is a different approach and higher reps, lighter weights is a sensible thing to do.

Hi Have I understood the 21 day plan correctly please in that each of the 3 weeks is the same or have I missed something ? Also can I do this for more than 3 weeks or only for 3 weeks please .
@FitLifeAfter40s
@FitLifeAfter40s 13 күн бұрын
Hi, yes, the weeks are the same, ta just about structure and consistency, so they you can do the exercises to get the most from them. You can absolutely do it for longer, as to remain strong and well balanced you must continue to do the exercises that got you there. However, you will have gotten stronger and better, so you may need to add some extra weight to the exercises, or extend the timings. Hopefully I've answered that clearly. If you have any other questions, please let me know😊

i am also doing some massage ball and very recommended side extension with a band for the outer side which is my weak side .I have been dealing with outer wrist pain for almost 5 years now. did an mri recently and everything was fine which kinda confused me. Let's see if this helps! should i do them every day?
@FitLifeAfter40s
@FitLifeAfter40s 17 күн бұрын
Thanks for sharing. I know how frustrating it can be to deal with wrist pain, especially when imaging like an MRI doesn’t reveal a clear issue. The exercises in this video, are great. They target the major muscles in the forearm which will have a net positive benefit to your strength. However dont continue if you get excessive pain. You’ll find the full 21-day plan near the end of the video-it’s designed to be super simple, and you can screenshot and save it to follow along. In short and for best results, start with every other day to give your wrists time to adapt and recover, especially since you’ve been dealing with pain for a while. As your wrists get stronger and feel less discomfort, you can gradually increase the frequency to daily if it feels right. Stick with it, and let me know how you’re getting on-I’d love to hear about your progress!

I have very weak wrists they hurt instantly after i lift something heavy... the best exercise i found to strengthen my wrist/forearm was doing push ups on mf fists Since im doing this my pain just disappeared 😂

Thats a fantastic workaround. It keeps your wrists nice and aligned! You can use two hex dumbbells and use them like pushup stands too. Works a treat. Give the full video a watch and I know that the exercises in there will help you improve: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJm4Yp2nrNxnhac

What a load of crap I would not feed this to a dog as for lack of flavour and the packaging that you need a professional body builder to open the product is over priced for what you get I bought $136 of this crowds product for my 87 year oldmother and it brought her to tears trying to open the damn thing she said it made her feel like she was a burden as for the flavour of this and the Spag bol who ever is doing the quality testing and tasting they seriously need to look for a new line of work. I sent my complaint about these products to the company and you get no response DO NOT BUY ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS AS YOU CAN GET BETTER QUALITY AND FLAVOUR ELSEWHERE

I'm 80 years old and still doing weightlifting. You can engage in strength training well into your 80s and 90s. While you may not be able to bench press 100 pounds at that age or have the energy to run a marathon, your body will probably respond well to moderate strength training.

That would be a really good video, if the principles of CICO would be applicable to humans. And even if it was, labels are allowed to be off 20% (in both directions), so you have a 40% Error Margin, which causes most people to grossly undereat and then their metabolism is reduced by homeostasis, leading to rapid weight gain as soon as you over eat a tiny bit. But yes, the theory presented here, from a mathematical standpoint and it's CICO mechanism is correct.

It is a good video and his experience and weight loss proves that lol watch Greg Doucette… you might actually learn something. Calories in calories out CICO works every time. If you loose weight your body will loose less calories because it’s moving something smaller. It’s then that you decrease your calories more or and do more cardio to get your body back in a calorie deficit.
