Excellent job. The colors were brilliant. What kind of a camera was used? I live here in town and haven't seen a better put together video of the river.

The "mountain pass" that you're showing with all the memorials is not, and never was, U.S. 66. Kind of misleading......
@twodogsandapony2 жыл бұрын
Everything I find says Site Graves Pass was part of Route 66 until a realignment in the 50's. Please explain how that's wrong, I certainly had no intention of misleading anyone. "Much of the early highway, like all the other early highways, was gravel or graded dirt. Due to the efforts of the U.S. Highway 66 Association, US 66 became the first highway to be completely paved in 1938. Several places were dangerous: more than one part of the highway was nicknamed "Bloody 66" and gradually work was done to realign these segments to remove dangerous curves. However, one section through the Black Mountains outside Oatman, Arizona, was fraught with hairpin turns and was the steepest along the entire route, so much so that some early travelers, too frightened at the prospect of driving such a potentially dangerous road, hired locals to navigate the winding grade. The section remained as US 66 until 1953 and is still open to traffic today as the Oatman Highway. Despite such hazards in some areas, US 66 continued to be a popular route." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Route_66 also see www.azcentral.com/story/travel/2014/11/19/arizona-route-road-trip-kingman-oatman/19296515/

I have walked that street many times. I didn't care too much for your editing, but it was ok for people that have never been there I guess. It's a beautiful spot. Thanks for bringing back a lot of great memories.👍

Nice video. But, the building at 12:00 was illegally built with too many stories, and it blocked the view of the ocean for the places behind it. The owners lied about how high it was supposed to be.

I Look forward to your vidz! I’m planning a trip back to PV this fall-What was the name of the condo you stayed at, and do you recommend it? Thanks!
@twodogsandapony2 жыл бұрын
Hi Richard, hope you have a great time in the fall. They recently built a new condo building directly across the street from the one we stayed at in this video. It wrecked the privacy the balcony originally had. So we wouldn’t stay there again, the owners however were great to work with. If your interested they’re on VRBO.

...again. I totally enjoy the vibrant colors your camera displays. I don't know but everything pops out the screen. Maybe it's the settings, I don't know. I believe you use a Canon? So i bought one when we returned from PV March 2020. I can't operate the color like you do. and neither can anyone else from what I see. I subscribe to over 30 travel channels and none are as vibrant and colorful as yours. We Appreciate the tour. Gracias Hermano. See you @ CC's some day.
@twodogsandapony2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mosey, would love to meet up for happy hour at CC’s sometime. My earlier videos were with a Canon until it got smashed at the beach. I’ve been using a Panasonic camcorder the last few years, now it’s broke. It took excellent video. From there I use a video editing software that cost less than $100. Vegas Movie Studio. You can adjust the saturation with it that brings out the vivid colors. On your Canon there should be a setting that lets you choose from nighttime shots, beach or sunny shots, etc. I think Canon calls their saturation settings “Vivid”. Check it out, if you can’t find it shoot me an email, I can probably figure it out for you.

I loved seeing your video… I’m not rich, for my first trip to PV, we rented Casa Aventura- it was called something different back then, not I loved it and fell in love with the Conchas Chinas area ever since- rented another place- there years later…. And for the first time, in November, we’ll be staying at a resort…. Going to miss haven’t private everything… but can’t afford that kind of vacation at that time….. if you have the money- full staff- private pool- it’s so worth it!

Made that drive many times between 2005-07. Thanks for the memories. We used to stop at Playa Santa Maris for a swim, usually very quiet in those days, not sure if they've built resorts all around it or not since then, but it was a charming little beach. Cheers.
@twodogsandapony3 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it. Yes it looks like Playa Santa Maria has a big resort on it now. We went just a mile or two towards San Jose to a Playa el Chileno one day. It was a nice beach, there's resorts around it too. They've made it accessible for the disabled to use and have a big public parking area for those with car rentals. Ocean swimming was safe there.
