Wow... sounds so much better than the Genesis. I love FM but the sampling system of the SNES audio chip means it can do anything with minimal effort. I bet the SPC700 can even be made to act like a sort of FM chip by merging and altering thousand of sub-samples the way it is used on early Korg synths and like is already used on Donkey Kong Country and a few other games.

Very nice. In my humble opinion, if the _Tiny Toon Adventures_ games by Konami had at least one Japan-based stage in them, I can easily picture hearing this remix/cover of yours here, Renegade. Great job, and keep up the good work!

How ironic that this track was omitted from the Super NES conversion but the stage stayed, albeit with some minor changes. The stealth bomber boss seems slightly easier in the SNES conversion in contrast to the arcade counterpart with those spinning missiles. Well, anyway, great remix/cover, and keep up the good work!

While this isn't one of my favorite tracks from the OG arcade version of _UN Squadron_ , I will say that your SPC700-style remix/cover would have had me on thinking this was an unused track from the Super NES conversion. Great job, and keep up the good work!

If the game had more Megs of memory this stage would've been included along with others, suffering that Final Fight port issue with a small capacity cart. You did justice bringing this song to life in a reimagined 'What if it was on the SNES/SFC version?' Thank you so much :)

Agreed. It's a shame that the earliest Capcom releases on the Super NES/Super Famicom got nerfed due to technological difficulties. Fortunately, they would get a HELL of a lot better in time. Now that you mention it, I got half a mind to make a Patreon request to Renegade for a Super NES remix/cover of either the arcade or Genesis version of the _Mercs_ OST with the _UN Squadron_ soundfont. ;)

I find it amazing the SNES version of the game was as good as it was. They took a straightforward shmup with a few bells and whistles and just ran with it. Pick your pilot! Your plane! Your loadout! Order of stages! It's pretty beefy. But more would be good, I could go for more. If only Carrier Arwing got the same treatment...
