Nice Reaction. Still my mostly liked Song and Version up to date. I know there are many, many better songs from BM out there. But the meaning of this song, the fact there is Momoka singing in it and they harmonize so great with Moa and ofc the beautiful Voice from Su makes me stunned everytime i hear it. I´m near 50 but I'm not ashamed to say I have tears in my eyes when I see it. The only thing that bothers me is that the song is over too quickly. Have a nice Day ❤🦊🤘❤

Hi Charlie So the 2 songs you've reacted to you can kind of think of them as the acoustic, unplugged versions of the more metal counterparts. They are, as I've seen already pointed out in the comments, a heavy metal group, albeit with a twist. They're more of a happy and cute metal. It shouldn't work, but it does. You asked if the singer was the main vocalist, the answer is yes. Her name is Suzuka Nakamoto. But when in Babymetal form, she is referred to as Su-Metal, or Su for short. The other 2 ladies are Moametal and Momometal. It's a little hard to describe the difference between the two, but Moa is the one that has dimples when she smiles (thats why its hard. She doesn't really smile in this video). Moa is the young lady that is looking to the right of your screen, while Momo is the young lady that is singing while facing you. I guess that is the best way to describe it. In earlier Babymetal (Babymetal 1.0 as people are calling it) there was another member instead of Momo. Her name is Yuimetal. Yui officially left the group in 2018 due to health reasons. She was replaced by a rotation of 3 girls that would take turns filling in her spot (although they never sang). These 3 girls were named the avengers. Eventually Momo (who was an avenger and who performed more than any other avenger with Babymetal) joined the band in an official capacity and became the new Babymetal member thus starting off Babymetal 2.0. So if you watch earlier stuff and you see Yui, you'll be able to tell the difference between Yui and Moa from their cheeks. Moa has dimples like I said, and Yui has chubby baby cheeks. You'll know you're watching the avengers from the hairstyle. Su ALWAYS has a Ponytail. Yui and Moa ALWAYS have pigtails. The avengers ALWAYS have their hair down, but have little buns where they would have had the pigtails. Anyhow, hope that helps a bit. Lastly, when you DO start doing Babymetal reactions outside of the first take, it is always highly recommended to react to their live stuff as Babymetal is one of the best bands to listen to live. They excel at it.

A big hug for you my friend Charlie!!!...No one better than you, to make a reaction video and analyze this incredible singer who is leaving all the experts, literally with their jaws on the floor (Do you remember Jim Carrey's movie "The Mask"? well, just like that)...In 2017, a 22-year-old singer from Kazakhstan, named Dimash Kudaibergen, was invited to participate in the famous Chinese program for professional singers called "The Singer"... In his first appearance, Dimash covered one of the most difficult songs in the world, a famous French composition called "S.O.S. D'un Terrien En Détresse"...Since then all this madness began on the internet, KZbin and social networks worldwide and he is already considered the best singer on the entire planet... It is almost impossible to see a human being, being able to reach vocal ranges of 8 octaves, that is, the 88 keys of a digital piano, which allows him to reach all registers, both masculine and feminine, that is, he can sing as Bass, Baritone, Tenor, Contratenor, Contralto, Mezzosoprano and Soprano...You can see in KZbin to all kinds of experts (Vocal coaches, analysts, singing teachers, singers, youtubers, reactors, etc.), who have dedicated themselves to watching his videos and verifying for themselves that what is said about him is completely true...In addition to all this, Dimash is capable of singing in more than 12 languages...In all his concerts worldwide, tickets are sold in just seconds, via the internet, due to the immense popularity he has worldwide... Anyway, I think you haven't met this impressive singer yet, so here is the link to the first song that Dimash performed in China in that year 2017, the song S.O.S., and if it doesn't bother you, I would like you to mention me as the person who recommended it to you...Warning: You have to be prepared for thousands of views, comments and new subscribers...The video It is more recent, so it does not have the millions of views that the first ones, but it is more complete, including an intro, subtitles in several languages and better audio and sound quality...kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHW7ZHmeot6Bl8U

Thank you for making this reaction, mesmerizing is a fitting description of the song! 👌 BABYMETAL is very much metal, but they have a wide variety of songs and they are described by many as "happy metal". They are a Metal Sing and Dance unit, so you need to watch their amazing live performances to get the full experience. If you're looking for "lighter" songs to start out with, then I recommend the following: "Brand New Day", "Light and Darkness", "DA DA DANCE", "Elevator Girl (Japanese version)", "Shine" and "Shanti Shanti Shanti". The best videos are usually not those on their official channel, but rather from channels like "ferr", "who?" and "For The Fox God". Lastly we have "No Rain No Rainbow" which is the best rock/metal ballad I have ever heard. Su-metal (lead singer) delivered an amazing performance of it at their Legend S concert, the video of which is on their official channel. BUT, reactions to it are usually blocked unless the video is masked in some way, so if you're unable to do that, maybe just watch it on your own at some point because it's honestly one of the most breathtaking performances ever.

Great reaction.🦊'The One' was the last song on the second album in 2016. The Japanese edition of the album has a half and half English-Japanese version, the international edition has the full English version that the girls had challenged themselves to do as a mark of respect and appreciation to the foreign fans who they noticed had been learning Japanese to sing along with them as they toured the world. This is effectively their love letter to the fans (who they also named "THE ONE"). This is an "unfinished" version ie it is stripped back with piano and strings only (also it is very much shortened having just the first verse). The full version is a Prog Metal ballad (if that is a thing), but they also do a version which starts like this with piano and strings - then the drums and guitars all join in half way through. If you didn't already see it, the official video is well worth seeing - that is the Japanese version. Legend S is possibly the best unfinished start going into the full version, Tokyo Dome had the extended full English version, Stairway to Living Legend probably the most emotional 'unfinished' version (a longer version of this one).

"The One" is the name of the both the fanbase and Babymetal itself as a a whole, and they wrote the song The One for the fanbase. This is a truncated version of its longer counterpart The One Stairway to Living Legend, which is itself a piano version of the original song. We have often speculated why they didn't finish it with TFT. However, the Stairway to Living Legend was the last song they ever performed before they went on their long break, and was not only a goodbye to their fans as they went on break, but was the end of that era of Babymetal. Since many wondered the future of Babymetal during that period, many of us have guessed this was simply a "Hello, we're back with lots left to do", to the fans, so The One was left unfinished. This was actually the first song they performed together as the trio. Those outfits came with the new Babymetal with Momo as the new member that finally replaced Yui when she left for health reasons back in 2018. Which you will notice if you watch the Stairway to Living Legend that the only two in it are Su and Moa, as there were only two in the Monochrome TFT. For years we had simply a backup dancer in Yui's spot, of which one of them was Momo who finally became a member. My recommendation would be Monochrome (Official Lyric Video) for context of your reaction to its piano version, and Light and Darkness (Live). kzbin.info/www/bejne/m2aogmeefat7fZo

Great reaction, this song has special meaning to BABYMETAL and the fans, known as THE ONE. During their time touring overseas and seeing the fans trying to learn and sing in Japanese, they decided they wanted to show the same love back to the fans and challenged themselves to write a song in English. So THE ONE was created and dedicated to the fans. It's one of my favourite songs, and it showcases the unity between Babymetal and the fans. 🤘🦊🤘

Welcome back to the Foxhole 🦊🤘 When they released this song in April they started the Sabaton's Europe Tour, after that finished last month they started the Asian Tour and fans are enjoying the live concerts once again, and more is coming with the Australian Tour. This is the same version we heard at "The One - Stairway To Living Legend " in 2021 when they went on hiatus sealing the group officially and thanking all of us, The One, that's the official fandom name This one is like a short version of that, hence the "Unfinished Version" title, so i highly suggest you to check it out that version to understand the context if you didn't. There's an official MV but sometimes is blocked so take care, the live version like Tokyo Dome 2016 is another beautiful moment. That's the lead singer, SuMetal, and the background vocals are with MoaMetal and MomoMetal (the new official member). Next suggestion: - Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! live at Legend 1997, Gans Tomas got this clip safe to react under Head Bangya title. Thanks for sharing this and see you next time 🦊🤘🔥

Glad to see you enjoyed it, If you chose to dig deeper into the Foxhole, "I didn't expect this" is going to be like a mantra 😅. There are currently three different versions of this song, the studio one, this unique unplugged, and the live one from their shows. The most common interpretation of this song, given the hints in the official lyric video, is that it's about hope for those people caught in a war, living under bombings, still believing in a better future 🌈. The studio version is quite different and they managed to give the feeling of an explosion in the mix, live, you can actually feel the punch in your chest. Needless to say, it's my favorite song from The Other ONE, their most recent concept album, quite different from the previous ones, they consider it to be an experiment, something very different. 🤘🦊⚡️

Hi Charlie, great to meet you reacting to one of my favourite current bands, Babymetal! I'm really glad you discovered them, they bring so much joy to the metal community, as well as choreography lol. I hope you'll get to watch some of their live performances with full band and choreography, as it's the best place to see them at their best. Here you see Su (AKA Su-metal), the lead singer, along with Moa(metal) one of two members who are in charge of "scream and dance". Thankfully they don't do much scream-o nonsense (I wouldn't be here if that were the case haha), but they do dance beautifully. Their natural habitat is with a band behind them playing a range of rock styles that are derived from modern heavy metal, range to classic rock and 80s metal. Against these brutal rhythms they set their sweet, J-Pop-esque vocals, which sing of such metal-heavy subjects as putting together a picnic for a summer party, or debating with themselves over whether to have that one piece of chocolate. And did I mention they crucify Su every night at the start of their performances? Ah...

Good reaction. Tbh I'd be more inclined to look at either the lyric video (it's quitee a meaningful song) or one of the live versions of this rather than going to "the one" on first take immediately - it is a fan based somg - and it's in English/American and is not really representative of most of what they do. Otherwise - almost anything Babymetal :) Generally...expect to be surprised by each of their performances :D

Nice first reaction and welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole.🦊This is a beautiful and stripped back version of what was already a beautiful song. If you are inclined to explore more BABYMETAL you will find they are unique, original and incredibly entertaining. They are like nothing else you will have seen or heard. They have about 60 songs now, each one different to the last. They started as a fusion of Metal with JPop aesthetics, but they have gone on to mix or blend so many different musical styles and genres with the metal - they never get boring. It looks like you already have some good suggestions for more songs to react to, I will just say that ideally you will watch live performances. Their official videos are all very good and worth seeing (the lyric video for 'Monochrome' would be interesting so you can hear what this song is like with the metal instrumentation), but they are a live performance act, that is where they are always at their very best (just avoid the Glastonbury videos - their performance was great but the BBC made a complete pig's ear of the audio).

Somehow it's really hard for me to watch someone react to this as their first exposure to Babymetal, because this isn't what Babymetal is at all. Although this shows their vocal abilities and talent, this isn't what they perform. They are a Heavy Metal Dance performance group. To better understand who they are, you must watch them perform live. They perform choreography along with singing, mixing J-Pop vocals with very heavy metal. If you know about First Take performances, then you know that these are softened/acoustic/alternate versions of what the actual music is like.
