What phone system are you using for your business?

Yoooo! Me and my friend are thinking of starting this business for ourselves in PA, there arent a ton of FB groups around us so I was wondering if possibly walking door to door with hangers would be a place to start with? Appreciate the content you've got on this topic you've inspired me and my friend both to get this thing started somehow 🙏

Hey brother! Great video! I'm a retired USMC Solo father at 46 years young. My son is 7 and has Autism. Its hard to even try to work for anyone with the needs my son requires with his therapy and school so this idea has really caught my attention. Be my own boss, work my own hours and be a provider for my sons future. How do i start from scratch? Thanks for your time!

How much did you spend to build your website? Taking quotes but they range from very high to obviously too low
@Scoop-StartКүн бұрын
I don't recommend others spend what we did when getting into the industry. Between the custom applications, photos, videos, copy, graphics, etc we spent between 30-40k

Congratulations, I have a question if you don't mind. Will you use your own address and phone number to create LLC? If not how to get those? Thank you so much !!!! 🎉
@ThisCantBeRealTV4 күн бұрын
Yes you will have to use your own address.. I know it sucks but I had to as well and I really didn’t want to. There is a couple of ways to go around this 1 rent out a storage locker at a mini storage and keep all your equipment in there and start your day there and you can put your address down as the storage address. 2) you can buy a “digital business address” which I strayed away from because there is too many sites that scam people from this etc.. and 3) you can rent a cube/lease space at a coworking office
@cmyers07104 күн бұрын
Yeah I didn’t want to do that as well, but at the end of the day there’s only so many options to get your business started without a lot of upfront costs. Now with my phone, I will not put my personal line on it. I’d opt for a good VoIP service if within your budget. For instance, Spectrum near me will give me business internet (which is required) and can then set you up with their partner for VoIP for about 80/month. So for me, separating my business expenses from personal important especially for tax purposes. Also, caller ID branding is a perk.
@Scoop-Start2 күн бұрын
Yes, when we first started we used our own address... eventually we moved into a co-working space, then finally our own office.

What insurance do you use & how do I set it up
@Scoop-Start2 күн бұрын
We have an insurance broker within PSM that we use and can help others across the United States. If you're not a member, I would try reaching out to local brokers in your area. (Sometimes scoopers have a hard time finding coverage because it's an emerging industry)

But isn't offering free services in exchange for reviews illegal? I looked it up, and it seems illegal. But I'll give it a try on two companies recommendations.
@rh3toricalanswer4 күн бұрын
I don't think so. You're offering them a free trial, and encouraging them to leave a review and hoping for reciprocity - you're not contractually binding them to make the review in any way and the free trial isn't contingent upon a review even informally. In other words a review isn't mandatory, they get the free trial regardless.

Thank you so much for the video! I would love to see some actual yard work examples for a future video recommendation. With gravel, concrete, etc. It sounds easy to pick up poop, but I know there's skill and technique involved for 100% quality service. Haven't seen too many examples of this on youtube and would love to.

For the billing example discussed, is the initial first time clean of $50 its own charge for that first day/week cleaning or do you combine the $50+$25 for that first initial clean then return to the $25 weekly charge going forward?
@Scoop-Start6 күн бұрын
We would bill the initial clean up + pro rated rest of the month. Then we go to pre-billing monthly on the 1st of the next month.

great video! ive purchased an 0800 number which looks more profesional here in the UK but when i created the GMB account it only allows mobile numbers will this affect anything, as across social/website we use the 0800 number. Thanks josh
@Scoop-Start6 күн бұрын
Having your phone number the same across all your social media profiles, website, GMB, and listing sites will help your SEO... but it's probably not the end of the world, companies (including ours) use call tracking numbers all time.

As far as I know Sweep&Go only works in the United States, but they are working on releasing to other regions in the future. Jobber is the 2nd most popular CRM in the industry and might work in your location... if not I would check out lawn care CRMs that do routing & billing well.
