I had never heard of Opus Dei until about 6 weeks ago researching Shady Vance’s reasons for converting to Catholicism because he believes religion belongs in government. Then Frank Schaeffer did a video about what Opus Dei is. The Heritage Foundation is an arm of Opus Dei. Then I found you, to go into how Opus Dei recruits and abuses women using harsh psychological tactics to keep women subjugated as literal slaves. It’s an eye opener. I’m spreading the word too.

I'm a Catholic and I'm going to stay a Catholic because I feel I can't be anywhere else. This is my church and my faith that said, I'm disgusted and angry at these scandals but worse is how the Church has treated them over and over again. What you're doing is so important because a lot of this gets forgotten and it also shows that justice for these victims has still not come. I personally believe that the LOC and their affiliates needs to be disbanded ASAP. Like you've pointed out, it's a cult. Their founder was a pedo and perv and not only he but many other priests and laity in the LOC, RC, etc are also abusers. This is a cancer that needs to be rooted out--root and stem. This among other issues is why the Catholic Church has zero moral credibility and the sooner the Church actually does some serious self-reflection and a willingness to repent and take action to, then maybe in time--perhaps decades, maybe even a century or two down the line, my beloved Church will gain some moral credibility back but I'm completely aware that it is small now. There are good priests, bishops, religious and laity in the Church. With it being a billion strong or so, there's definitely good ones but as we've seen so often, the hierarchy, the religious and the laity who perpetuates this abuse are not. I've heard for so many years the complaints about how the World is so bad and so evil and so secularized and that the Church is being "persecuted" and mocked in secular society. Well, I'll say this--my Church had it coming and so any mockery of the Catholic church--no matter how cruel, is understandable because these abuse scandals is what many people think of and they're within their rights to think that way because the so called "godless, evil, hedonistic" secular world has more moral fortitude when they call out this horrific, disgusting and evil abuses. Again, who broke the Boston scandal back in 2002? It wasn't anyone in the diocese. Instead, it was the Boston Globe doing their job and sadly there's been so many more before and since then. My Church isn't paying attention so one might ask, why do I stay? The sacraments, Our Lord Jesus, the parish I belong to, the comfort of the saints, devotions and my beliefs and also my sense of justice because I'm pissed off but I won't let that stop me from coming. However, I do admit that I haven't donated to the diocese or any other Catholic groups in a very long time and I refuse to do that. I do sing in the choir and do other church activities with my own parish but it doesn't go beyond that. Thank you for what you're doing.
