I personally love the SSF and Gurkhas. I love how the SSF commandos don't have to pay to get LMGs and Bazookas and can easily switch between the two

I have to say, your tip on weapon teams was a game changer for me. I had been using them so wrong before to the point where, with MG teams, I really didn't like them or understand how others used them effectively compared to emplacements. They were so much better at area denial when used in the way you suggested. I would add that you need to remember to pack them up again once the immediate threat has been dealt with so that they are ready for the next one

Was hoping for specific tips on the actual battlefield, one comment hit the nail on the head with cannon friendly fire. It decimates your troops 🤦🏻♂️ Calvary with rifles will do the same, or even infantry behind other infantry

I play since CoH2 and i always was in love with allies fraction but bro, German is even more on steroids in this game. Of course if u know what you doing. Panzer IV tanks, for mech 0flak emplacements , bunkers, for defense lutwaffe relay points, from get go short range, long range, air support. You have additiona resource to spare and you need to quickly help frontline on second side of a map without time to build them and come all the way to you from base? paratroopers why not That's even stronger than CoH2 mech rush on wehrmacht. But of course i can be mistaken

Germans are strong but require us to ply methodically. Axis factions are less forgiving early game that Allies and more forgiving late game than allies. Germans also rely on support weapons more than allies and are less versatile and rather have to use different units for different specific tasks

Ouch, stats of English archers are really poor. I only did 1 campaign of Byzantium in SS and it was infuriating that I didn't really have access to good archers. Turns out Mouratoi (locals you recruit from Anatolia/Balkans) are pretty much the same.

Thanks for the great guide, just came back to RTW with the remaster. I was just wondering: In the trade overview screen of the cities, some resource icons are displayed in colour while others are white or greyed out. Would you know the reason or the impact of this?

It is like in Rome 2 Total War, resources you produce and trade are colored I assume :) Haven't been around for few years in Rome

Yes, but Medieval doesnt have a regular MP games you have to make hotseats and trade saved games all the time it is not worth it :D

Can be multiple things. From position, your production, being at war, not being properly placed etc

They've fixed it now. I was not pleased with CoH3 at release but I am really happy that they continued development and now it is in playable state :)

Depends really on the position and encounter. Sections are more durable, rifleman are more aggressive. Plus balance changed a bit nowdays

Number one is so surprising. They look like horribly equipped african/asian slaves and yet they are the best? Thats just horrible design 😂😂😂😂 May as well make the peasents in medieval games the steongest unit as well! I almost never buy them because the design of equipments just sucks. Youd want british special forces instead.

The most important is arguably the english channel id say, its the terminus for every node after all. Meaning usually whoever owns it, makes the most ducats

Hey Dux, this video is world class and really helped me understand the game on a deeper level. I had one question, you speak of resources being tier 1 to tier 5? I have tried to find a reference for this tier system and cannot find a list of high value products or low value products on a tier system. Is this just your own reference or is there a list? dont put the rangers in your fact short top best we know their reputation being the best killing machine and a "Beast" these guys are your force of nature troops ranging varient they wield Bazooka BAR BAR M1919 or Flamethrower theyre easy to get easy to convert and making them the best all around infantry squad due to them have passive ability called ranger weapon training allow them to fire increase accuracy from flamer to slow them down bazooka reload faster than commando para or bazooka squad and BAR BAR M1919 suppress enemy at a med to close range theyre the strongest out of the US Faction Battlegroup only in the tech tree of the Advance Infantry operation

I am happy that Rangers are beasts but I also think that basic german infantry is really weak and not represented. Germans traditionally in COH had weak starter infantry, almost trash, while historically they were most well rounded early war infantryman. But what can you do

@@strategydux their a beast the reason why Ranger are great they're issue up with Thompson no upgrade from likes of Heavy Cav Company of CoH2 they're always equipped like that also you choose what variation you make them anti infantry, suppression, anti tank, and balance 4-6 AT bazooka good bye panzers and hello tank scrap duty blob or infantry say hello to group of ranger flamer suppression BAR or M1919 would do they get to keep their current weapon and their veterancy rank

SSF Commando have generalist type infantry gone anti killing spree infantry or tank scrap duty they had ability to switch their primaries with anti tank bazooka SSF Commando also had ability to knife insta kill throw on infantry making the best of the best infantry squad SSF Commando can switch their primaries permanently meaning they swap out their Johnson or M1919 to their Bazooka to make even for the likes of Generalist infantry of Guardsmen

Infantry sections are well rounded. Fighting from cover long range they will grind all even before AT Rifles

@@jenkem4464 ya they used same engine for aoe4. But Microsoft is not giving up. I personally did not enjoy coh3 launch at start but as time goes they are improving. It will be a similar story like with Rome 2 TW i think :)
