I am sharing some interesting advanced tips on how to "CHEAT the AI" in Rome Total War Remastered. We will use the matrix against them!!!

@@strategydux some time ago I started it but left off at taking Carthage and Italy only to finish brutii and jullii. Now I've conquered nearly the whole if Italy and most of Hispania, and with parts of Egypt

@@zakback9937 Well there is no opposition than for you. And on based on your experience with Numidia what would you share with me as a key thing to highlight in my video when i make it?

​@Strategy Dux You have to swept Carthago as soon as possible. Same goes for Nile delta settlements but you have to choose right moment. Numidians are constantly broke and have trouble to keep public order so almost all towns need to be exterminate. Also don't underestimate Desert Infantry, these guys are not eastern infantry even if they look somewhat similar. But morale 8 is very different from morale 2 :-D. The first cavalry might be a javelin one but could be used as light very well and hold against generals if they have number advantage. I finished their short campaign defeating Carthage, Scipii, Brutii and Egypt on vh/vh, high unit size. I tried to continue for long campaign achievement but it is such a chore now and I don't enjoy that :-)

If I manage to conquer an advanced city then isn’t it better the advanced buildings (lvl 4 barracks/stables) and use them to train more units than to demolish them and wait 4-5 turns more to build it again? If I upgrade the building then the culture of that building would change anyway

Yea i agree with you in a way. You should keep in some cities maybe barracks just for reinforcement but anything besides that you shouldn't. And even with that not in every city because you want to go around and cap fast. Regarding upgrades well you would sack or exterminate towns so by the time they get a chance to get enough pop to upgrade forward it will lock your troops there for a while to keep happy so not that worth it every time.

I used to make buffer states but they also then decide to attack me, even after they ask to become protectorates, i feel generous, i give them a contested territory and they still backstab me

Yea they might but I usually keep half stacks around my border regions to make sure. One more tip DO NOT GIVE MAP information to AI don't know why but they are more cocky to attack after that. Dunno if that is just my six sense but from experience they do :D

I always destroy the temples unless they give me military bonus like xp or upgrades. if i take over a settlement that is from the wood age, I'll blow everything up and start rebuilding. 1 little AI cheat that i've been doing cuz it's funny, i would make a hole in a wall during a siege and without bringing it down, i'll hit the other side of the wall. Often a unit or 2 gets trapped up there, i would ignore them. as i go for the center, they become betting objects for my archers.
