Ours had a similar issue. We replaced the sail switch first without luck. Ended up being the temperature over limit switch.
@airstream_wheelerАй бұрын
Thanks for watching! I am thinking that the temp limit switch may be the culprit ... for the cost it might be worth replacing both. I'm really hoping it isn't the gas valve!
@cbdaneАй бұрын
I would have gone straight for the sail switch. Maybe just lint on the little air paddle? This said, maybe the slow start up after your adjustments was just a little air still in the gas line? Let us know what you find out. Always trying to learn! Stay warm!
@airstream_wheelerАй бұрын
Hello again and thanks for watching! I might replace the sail switch but I'm thinking that because the gas valve opens and it ignites every time and stays lit (for as little as a few seconds but sometimes as long as 10 minutes) it might be the flame sensor or limit switch? I'm hoping it isn't the gas valve in the furnace, the other parts mentioned are much cheaper, it might be worth just replacing them. I did just replace the propane regulator a few months ago so I hope I'm getting enough flow from the tanks.

Nice. I have a concern. Yesterday I replaced the shocks on my 2006 Airstream. I tightened them until I had significant resistance. The reason is that many people with Airstreams have complained on AIrforums how shocks have come loose,, nuts were missing from one or more of their shocks, etc. I guess my concern is that people do not tighten the nuts enough. The shock should still pivot with thousands of pounds- I watched your tightening closely and this is a concern I have. I know they say loose but....that could be why so many are coming loose from the factory.
@airstream_wheelerАй бұрын
Hi, Thanks for watching, it has been a while since I checked to see if they are still tight and I should once again. If memory serves, I believe mine don't have symmetrical hex nuts on them, the nuts are ovalized in a way that is supposed to keep them from loosening.

@airstream_wheeler2 ай бұрын
Hi Brent and Betsy! Shanna also requested a second look at that play in the left front this weekend. We like the RAS, as compared to the extra leaf spring we put in our previous Tundra. The stiffer leaf spring pack made the ride rough when the truck was unloaded. The RAS counteracts the fully loaded 'squat' without making the ride harsh. Shanna likes the feeling while towing. She wanted a bolt on improvement where she didn't need to drop the axle. We think its is worth it to improve the ride. ~Andrew
