How does it feel to be off a gate. What’s in Oregon and where.

It feels great! We have been offered a park host opportunity in Mt Hood National Forest in Oregon. It pays a little less than what gate guarding BUT it will be cooler than a Texas summer. We will also have same sleep schedule and when our duties are done we can leave and explore a bit. We are excited. ~Shanna

We live about 3 1/2 hours from Portland. How long are you there? Maybe we can connect. We are thinking about 5:06 some other paid gig for next winter. Did you go through Workamper or something similar.

@@thomasbeard150 Andrew searched park host positions online and I monitored some Facebook posts. He called on many positions and was candid about scope of work and compensation. We ended up with several offers but 2 in Oregon most closely fit our goals. We will keep you posted on details as we get things sorted out. Like the gates, it seems like we will need to remain flexible. ~Shanna
