Hi, the fabric store didn't give me the name of the fabric I think ^^; but I usually use matte linen or something similar for my costumes. this isn't matte linen but it's something similar, less thick a bit

What type of fabric did you used

I don't remember exactly what the fabric was called. It was very lightweight and a little slippery (kind of like silk but not as shiny). I did the white details with a matte fabric. To be honest, I think it's up to your personal preference (and what's available at your local fabric store) whether you want to go for a shiny fabric or a matte one. Traditional haori aren't made with the type of fabric I used anyway, so you can pick what you think will look best for your costume :)

You don't have to cover the pieces in worbla. You can leave the foam as-is and coat it with craft glue before painting. Adding worbla makes it more durable, but it's optional. :)
