I don't know how these beautiful animals can stand the constant chatter, laughing, kids screaming and crying. It would drive me batty. They must be so happy when the zoo closes.

The gorillas walfare should come first
@robinwitkowdki11 күн бұрын
There should the people watching them to keep the noise down because it upsets the gorillas there no need for all that noise,it's bad enough there are in a zoo there shouldn't have to be irritated with all that noise
@robinwitkowdki11 күн бұрын
Hope the baby is ok and there shouldn't have all that noise

Nope !!! No one knows its intensions. If it had wanted to attack the baby it would have attacked the baby. It is the silver backs job to "keep the females in line".

I hate silverbacks. They are among the meanest and most miserable creatures on earth. The females generally are great bc they are busy raising the babies. None of them ever seem to get alone with the silverbacks though.

"to protect the life of a 4 year old" my ass. Those parents were horrible for stepping back enough to let the kid fall into the enclosure. In fact, Harambe would've probably been a better parent that whatever ones let their kid fall into the enclosure. Also, I'm not sure exactly what behavior this is, but this is not attacking. He would've been making more noise, potentially been banging his chest, and more than likely would've continued the pursuit if he was actually attacking the baby. Do your damn research before trying to paint a bad image on these animals; humans are no fucking better. edit: the way he was running was in no way aggressive either, he was jogging after them slowly instead of trying to be bigger and stronger and catch up and harm them. Really, you don't have to be an animal expert to see this.

He's not attacking the baby. He's flirting with his mate who happens to be carrying the baby. Silverbacks often pick little fights like this with their females hoping they'll chase him. The troop normally joins in with the loud screams. Shabani in Japan has mastered this.

If he suspects that baby is not his own, he could kill it. Happens in the wild quite often actually.

Okay idk if this a sick joke or not, but that's not Harambe, now Harambe was born at the Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville, Texas, on May 27, 1999, and he was transferred out in September of 2014, now how could you have footage of him from that specific Zoo 2 months after he was transferred, also these are clearly mountain gorillas, male mountain gorillas are known to try and delete any babies that are not theirs so they can mate with the mother when she's fertile, male Silverbacks however are the complete opposite, they are extremely protective of any babies that are theirs or not theirs. So no this is not Harambe.

Why are people mad at the zoo officials?! Nature is violent and life is cruel and short why artificially try to change the natural behavior of the gorilla? They kill each other in the wild naturally over interpersonal beefs with other gorillas so why stop their natural behavior just because they’re in captivity? That’s like putting a human in a cage and forcibly altering our behaviors…

And then they killed the silverback. The silverback in this footage is the infamous Harambe, taken before his death. Fortunately, there are people who do good for apes (Aspinall Foundation, which is currently working to get some zoo apes into the wild, or at least their offspring). As for febeo human behavior, Homo sapiens is pretty evenly tied with chimpanzees. The two species have essentially the same sorts of behavior, which is to be expected when both are the other's closest relative.
