You asked how your followers decided what to keep or discard (donate/recycle/trash)... When I am sorting an area which has many years' worth of clothing, etc., I get rid of everything which is broken/dirty/moldy/obscure. If I am not the owner, I will consider what the owner wants to do but have some input into it all if permitted. I usually do this with the upfront assertion that I will be a participant in decision-making... I ask questions like: How long has it been since you last used this? How often do you use it? Do you have a similar item which is of better quality and/or condition? Do you have duplicates? How many of these do you need? Is this the current size for you? Can you afford and do you want to dryclean this (if applicable)? But the question that seems to generate the most change in attitude is: Do you want to support this item, spacewise, more than other items when there is a finite amount of space available? Well, this is part of my thinking and process. I also have many people who will let an item go if they know it will be donated and not go in the garbage. I try to donate wisely to appropriate places and place reasonably good items.

11 pairs of shoes and 4 purses total I have an app where I’ve cataloged everything so I know This also includes every category of season, costumes and special occasion.

I love to organize closets. My husband and I separate our dressy clothes from casual and group the clothes by color. So easy to find everything. I’ve pared way down. I have 6 pairs of shoes, 1 pair of boots & one pair of slippers. I own one dressy clutch purse, one Fanny pack, and 2 tote bags. I don’t carry a purse as a rule.

Nice organizing and cleaning job! I've never really had a lot of shoes as I am disabled and my feet are two different sizes, so I have to buy two pairs of shoes to get one pair that fit my feet. I have about six pairs right now, and that's about right.

Something fun and definitely unnecessary would be after everything’s separated, to rainbow color coordinate the colorful clothes. ❤😂 i think it looked like an amazing finish! As far as purses and shoes, technically I only need what I need for the day and maybe a spare. Other than that I could give away any item to someone that needed it more. I’ll use a shoe and purse till it’s not really even donate-able anymore. Extra stuff is just waiting its turn but I’d always let it have a better home if it filled someone’s need.

Bags and shoes are a real dilemma. They’re so lovely and I have way too many

I have only 1 purse + 1 backpack+ 1 waist bag (in 2017 I decided on that and I'm happy about my decision).😊 And about shoes (mind that I live in Poland so we have 4 seasons): A) for winter : 1 flat boots for everyday (black), 1 heeled boots for elegant occasions (brown suede), B) for everyday: 1 black sneakers for sports, 1 flat black leather sneakers for elegant look, 1 beige suede tennis shoes for summer (they go well with all my 3 summer dresses) C) special purpose: 1 sandals, 1 sexy stilettos , 1 flip flops, 1 barefoot shoes (recently got them as a gift from a friend for testing), 1 pair of shoes for swimming in summer, 1 pair of shoes for swimming in winter in cold water D) 1 pair of slippers for home. That's 12 pairs in total, but still i consider it too many and i would love to minimise.😊 Thank you for your videos!❤ I love that you work fast, you are very specific (to the point) in your advice and you have so many skills! Personally I have one pair for whatever purpose I would need shoes for but have known people to have a pair to match each outfit and I didn't want to do that way too much wasted space for me.

No purse=I carry my essential cards in my back pocket and a small knife with (tweezers and toothpick) and car key in my front pocket. Jeans are my preferred pant.

Why can't you live closer to me!

I only have 4 purses and about 20 pairs of shoes. That's too many! I'm sure these people appreciate an uncluttered closet- good job!

I lost 70 lbs and had to get rid of a lot of my clothes. Also, I did go through my tennis shoes and got rid of shoes that either hurt my feet or come to the reality that I don't need so many shoes. Thank you for the video! 👍

Looks much more manageable, really great. Maybe they won’t need the extra rack after all. It looks like everything is accessible now. I have clothes with functional pockets so I don’t need many bags and purses any more, and I’ve never really been a shoe person.

You did an amazing job. Sometimes people get overwhelmed and pick at stuff because now it’s not the way it use to be and it can be emotional for her . I don’t know that she was able to manage that emotion and she expressed it that way. Not saying it’s okay because you did an amazing job organizing it . Don’t stress about what she says .
