Well. Amongst all the reviews i saw, you explained the key related features very well. Loved the detailing of all features. I have recently purchased the Duet model because of SDI capability. This is totally value for money. I am very much comfortable with OBS and it can do all the things which a switcher can do. But just for the price of 3 SDI converters, we get a lot more in Duet model. I actually used Duet once just as a SDI converter by inputting 3 SDI cameras and sending individual outs via 2 HDMI and 1 UVC out. This thing is very powerful. ISO recording will make it a king in its segment.

I'm not sure if there's a limit to the number it can tune in to but only one can be displayed at a time (the Aux input can be set to NDI) and changing that source would mean fiddling in the menus so it wouldn't be feasible to live switch between NDI sources.

I think you can make this happen by using the supersource and the downstream key as I recall but it's a bit of a messy workaround rather than a proper way of doing it.

@@TubeShooterMag I've developed an auto-switch functionality by using Bitfocus Companion and sending Hex codes to the L4. It took a lot of guess-work, reverse-engineering by looking through the coding, and some lucky forum finds based on the L1 switcher. I'll have to write out a list of the codes I'm using, but basically Companion has buttons that auto-trigger the next input after a delay.

That's for the Review. It was very helpful. The device is..... pretty. Has a lot of bling. Looks very advanced and like it can really do some work. But it sounds like underneath the hood, it is lacking in sometimes basic functions that other cheaper mixers already have. Like direct cut. Or adjustable PiP. That audio setup is weird and would take some getting use to. I do like the SDI out though. I thought it could a handy device to switch multiple computer video inputs into my ATEM Mini Extreme SDI switcher. As some of my gigs have had as many as 3 or 4 laptops going with different presentations. Hopefully Feelworld will pay attention to reviews like yours and address some of the functionally issues with software updates. Until then, I'll hold on to my Ocee GoStream a bit longer.

A .txt file is text not audio. The files created depend on what recorder / camera you're using.

@@TubeShooterMag there is thr place in the mic to put your SD card and record directly from mic not on camera But when I open this file I only found a txt file according to godox website RECORD" folder in the USB drive is the recording folder. The "RECINFO" TXT format document is the recording file. You cannot record while the USB drive is open, and likewise, you cannot open I will try again now and update you and many thanks for your reply

The PIP scaling is solved. Just watched another more recent video. Perhaps a firmware update? Is there any information regarding soft edges for PIP , or for a circle Wipe , can it be feathered or adjusted on the edge?

Can you please tell me in this switcher for example I want my SDI input to be set as my main audio and I don't want it to be changed even when I cut another source. Is it possible in this switcher???? Because the way I see this in reviews or in the manual, you have to adjust the audio in PST and then cut it. I mainly use a single source as my audio whether line input or via any video inputs, I don't want to set audio every time after cut and that's how I use it in my L1 switcher.

If I understood it correctly, you would just set audio to be the SDI input for both PVW and PGM (by setting PVW then cutting once between them and setting the PVW again) and it would then remain as SDI unless you otherwise changed it. It's as if there are two scenes but once you've set them both, it stays like that.

Thanks for the reply. Also I have been told by someone that the SDI output is not a program output i.e. it is the only output for the sdi signal or else you call it a loop out signal. Is it true???? Modern switcher doesn't work like this and if it does, it's such a big deal breaker and for less than a $100, you can get a much better device in the form of osee gostream duet which also has 2 usb c, 2 hdmi outputs and an sd card slot and also has an a recorder and an encoder for live stream built in. @@TubeShooterMag

I don't have any SDI devices so can't test but I was under the impression the SDI output can be programme output and not just a loop. The Osee Duet device is aimed at a different use case since they have no built-in screen and only four inputs not five (albeit each can be either SDI or HDMI)

My biggest issue with Livepro L4 is that the firmware needs updating, and the software is very difficult to connect. It works great with OBS Studio. I wish it would support lower thirds. For my purposes, it meets my needs.

No clock function, I'd have to check the app. Bear in mind it also operates via the IP address in China so you're reliant on that being fully functional.

I have two questions. Firstly, is there a way to access device settings? It seems like there should be a way to make the sub-menu window screens larger. This would make using the slider controls easier and more precise. Secondly, and related to the first question, is the lag you're sometimes experiencing related to the small size of the sub-menu windows? I know this would be an issue for me because I'd be pressing the screen to do something, but my fingers just aren't hitting in the right place.

No, the only settings are the ones shown as far as I can tell. There's no "system settings" or similar. And yes, the lag may be me being unable to press in the right spot but certainly sometimes it just seemed to take a moment before responding.

How did you setup the audio on obs i have a problem with the audio in obs it sounds like a echo and when i switch over to the next camera the audio sounds really low like it’s not picking up anything. I want to switch over to the next camera if you get out a bit with echo.

Sounds as though you may have the "Audio Follows Video (AFV)" set and when you switch camera, it's using the sound from the more distant microphone. How does it sound when you plug headphones into the Feelworld and monitor from there?

I think the cut method selection at around 12.30 is Feelworlds way of switching between the T-bar and the cut buttons. If you had tried using the cut method you should be able to switch cameras just by pressing buttons labled 1-5. Thanks for reviewing this switcher, I was waiting for someone to give it a proper review. Disappointed with the choice of PIP selection though, it needs a side by side/ supersource layout.

Great video, thanks for sharing. Any idea why the Lark M1 wouldn't connect to an iPhone 11 or iPhone 13 pro with the adaptor for lightning? I have tried downloading the Hollyland app and finalcutcamera app, neither pick up the device.

Depends which adapter you mean. The output of this device is analogue audio on a 3.5mm "stereo" (dual mono) jack. To take that into a device lacking a 3.5mm jack input needs a suitable cable which performs an analogue to digital conversion and feeds the output into the appropriate connector for your device. Note the USB-C port on the radio mic is for charging only, not audio.

@@TubeShooterMag Thanks for your message, I have the 3.5mm TRS to lightning connect as well as the adaptor lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack (which I can put the trrs to trs cable into then into receiver). The device is just not being recognised or picked up by the iphone. However plugging the trrs to trs cable into my mother's Samsung, it works first time.

To clarify: are you taking the stereo out from the receiver into the TRS end of a cable which then terminates in a TRRS into the Samsung? If that is the case then the signal is remaining analogue all the way and the Samsung is doing the A-D conversion (note this will only be in mono so may be either one mic or a mix of both mics). For the iphone, the audio must go into a suitable 3.5mm - Lightning cable with A/D converter; cheaper brand cables may not work, the proper Apple one should.

I have just a question, since you probably got more confortable with this device, is it possible to store configurations on macro buttons? I mean not recording any pressing on buttons but storing configurations of pip, keys and so on and change with the simple press of a button. Example, default config on button 1, pip configurations when i want to use pip, with custom positions on button 2, chroma settings on button 2 and so on. Thank you again!

The buttons are purely macros, they store a sequence of keypresses. So if you want to store a specific configuration of PIP or whatever, you have to record the sequence of keypresses to make that PIP how you want it; they don’t simply record window layouts howsoever you have them defined at that moment (as seen on some other switchers). Whilst the macro approach is arguably more flexible since you can use the buttons to store almost any sequence, I find it less useful than dedicated ‘layout’ storage buttons because macros are too finicky for me.

Thanks for this excellent review, it helped me a lot. I have one problem, with the mic input options, mic has disappeared as an option, line and mic + power are still there though. How can this be fixed? It seems the mic option disappeared after i connected a mic to it, it was a takstar mic.

I can’t swear to it but I think mic+pwr won’t matter if you use a mic with inbuilt power so that is the sole mic level option.

Strictly speaking it's for a mic that needs a small "plug in power" such as certain tiny lavalier mics or older small camera shotguns. But I don't believe (I think!!) that it would harm a mic that uses its own built-in supply to be plugged into the channel configured as "mic+pwr"

The default setting for the Osee output is something like 30Hz I think (check in the manual) so the monitor has to be able to display the default refresh rate at a minimum (after which, once you can see the output, you can change it in the menus)
