Of course, Alexi wrote songs under the influence of games and films! This is the coolest thing about Bodom for me. also think about zarok of Gallowmere from medievil :) sinergy wrote a song about that

Thats fucking unique. I've never seen any other rockstar at Alexi's status just pop in and jam with some fans. The best most fans can hope for is to not be thrown off the live stage or to possibly get the almost unheard of "VIP"" backstage visit. Playing with? Daaaaaaamn.

Alexi has stole alot of stuff over the years. Kissing the Shadows for example, the main riff with the pinch harmonic is taken from King Diamond's Sleepless Nights. King Diamond - From the Other Side had its riff stolen for Bodom after Midnight. Blooddrunk's riff is stolen from a Waltari song called Deeper into the Mud. A part of Towards Dead End's solo is taken from Stone - Meat Mincing Machine. I love the guy but he had stolen/lifted alot of riffs from other bands.

That's why I stopped to see your contents, you changed the channel's name, hahaha! It's a pleasure to see you again, my friend! And still with the channel (I thought was deleted/banned at some point), and doing CoB covers very accurate! I've noticed years ago that you deleted you Ultimate Guitar's account (or they deleted)

I saw them live in 2008. In between sipping from mysterious red cups all night alexi would take one swig from a water bottle and toss it into the crowd. I wormed my way to the front and caught one. I kept it for like a year. Also henkka tossed me his skateboard wristband. Sadly I lost it years later.

Correct me if I'm wrong but once it was said in some interview or an article that some songs were inspired by games, or even more, some pieces were taken from some games... And yes, that was said about some of early albums, still my favourite. So yeah, keep on searching and as a pro you can find more interesting things, I believe!)))))

'Stolen' seems a bit too strong to me, it's more likely that Alexi Laiho was inspired by this riff , maybe unconsciously, especially considering the numerous covers he has done throughout his career. I would be inclined to say that it’s a creative reinterpretation, built around a new musical context, rather than a simple copy-paste. It stands more as a hidden reference/appropriation rather than stolen stuff, highlighting Alexi’s muscial inspiration. In any case well done to have found the origin of the riff.

It's been years since you created this tribute video and every time I watch it, it makes me sad and I start to cry. I've never felt sad for a musician, it's probably because the music that Alexi created has been my favorite for over 25 years, he has always been and will always be my greatest guitar idol.

IMO Matt Heafy's instagram post of "memorializing" Alexi came off as extremely disingenuous because he literally plugged his Twitch at the end of the caption on his post. I always did like Trivium, but Matt lost my respect for that. Not that the respect of one metalhead is anywhere close to being slightly significant. Phenomenal cover and tribute, \m/

Name another guitar hero ever who would just do something like this, he was absolutely and totally selfless in doing this. It hurts to see Alexi in such a bad shape physically, but even more what a legend for caring for those kids even when ill. Thank you for everything! Ps. Kevyet mullat, Alexi
