For anyone curious you can do this without removing handguards but is easier if you do. Just installed mine and maaaan do they feel great! I went with the shorties . Good vid Mike.

One of the hardest install .. I’m iglad the plastic hinge underneath did not break during the process , and the evotech guard doesn’t sit properly in front of radiator .. had to wiggle and pull and push it was insane .. I would not buy and install this upgrade again.

Is it damaging the engine, piston or cilinder if you take out the db killer ? The back pressure is low when you take out db killer, is it damaging the engine?
@MotovationUSA19 күн бұрын
A lot, if not most of the back pressure is generated by that catalytic converter. If you are running a de-cat system then the next step for back pressure generation will be the dB killer. The engine may run hot with little to no back pressure. If you are worried about the engine and it's components, you should either leave the system alone or address the ECU tuning of the machine.
@darko.295018 күн бұрын
@MotovationUSA The bike is carburated 125cc, doesnt have ECU, also deasnt have catalytic converter
@MotovationUSA17 күн бұрын
Carburetors need to be re-jetted for elevation, so I would imagine they would need to be tuned for a changes in intake/exhaust.

Motovation I have a question. What socket do you recommend to tighten the 24mm nut on the shift side of the rear-sets on this bike. I used a regular one i had and it scratched the inside of my bonimici rear-sets . Thanks
@spaceathАй бұрын
i wouldn't recommend.. at a small bike fall maybe you need to replace the frame. Been there, done that. And hurts...
@MotovationUSA29 күн бұрын
Obviously every crash is unique, but I saw a frame slider do it's work this last week here at a COTA track day. While the '18 Panigale V4 S was not free from damage, the slider took the brunt of the slide and promoted the slide instead of having the bike start flipping.

Do the adjustable rear sets help with taller riders? I’m 6ft2 225lbs and I’m struggling getting into a comfortable position on my zx6r and a few people have suggested these but I’m curious how much of a difference it would make?
@MotovationUSAАй бұрын
A combination of more adjustable rearsets and perhaps a different or customized seat will give you more room for your legs. Unfortunately, at the end of the day, sport bikes are small machines. That said, I just got back from a track day with the boys and many of them are above 6' and around that weight or more. They are mostly on slightly larger bikes (S/M 1000 RR, Panigale V4 R, etc). But every one of them are running adjustable rearsets to get them more comfortable as they can be when on track.

Do you think mods like exhausts from 2023 RSV4 can be compatible with the 2025?
@MotovationUSAАй бұрын
We will have to wait and see. Since SC-Project has a close manufacturing relationship with Aprilia now, they are likely working on fitment with these new bikes already.

@@MotovationUSAim also interested in the answer to this as well. I have a $2100 GP 22 on my current 2023 RSV4 that id rather not have to repurchase for the 2025 model. Im hoping it just swaps right over
@MotovationUSA18 күн бұрын
The swingarm looks to be the same or similar to the current-gen RSV4. As you know, the GP 22 has tight tolerance with the swingarm, so it will likely be a question of exhaust piping angles.

Looking forward to a full spec sheet and dash layout. Be great to know the main differences too between the base and the factory. This all helps me to know if I should trade in my 2023 rsv4. Not a fan of the colors hope there might be something different for the US. Over all glad to see they made some updates.
@MotovationUSAАй бұрын
There was a full spec sheet posted at EICMA. It was in Italian, so we could only decipher so much. Power is up. Base and factory differences have typically been suspension and wheels. The Factory has gotten electronic suspension and forged wheels and there are a few electronic items that will be standard or available to you via the Aprilia App that will accompany the new bikes. I don't imagine the US will get different colors.
@joyfulpyro2589Ай бұрын
@MotovationUSA gotcha, I did see the dash was updated with a new display and a fuel guage. I believe I will be trading or selling my 2023 lol. Thanks for the post

Keeping that front wheel on the ground is a real concern with the power that the Aprilia V4 puts out.

Perhaps good for a tip-over , but questionable that these sliders would hold up to the kinetic energy of a spill or slide from speed, the upper part of the bolt/connection point looks like the weak point. ??
@MotovationUSA2 ай бұрын
Never forget that a slider is a sacrificial piece. They are designed to promote the slide and grind away as they do. They are not a piece that will bolt onto your motorcycle and protect it from any harm that could befall the machine. If you crash, your motorcycle will probably be damaged. These, and all sliders are meant to limit the damage.

One question guys. What about the weight at the ends of the handlebar? The aluminum mirror weighs less than a standard anti-vibration weight. Is it important or not?
@MotovationUSA2 ай бұрын
As with modifying any motorcycle, it is a game of compromises. It's up to each rider to decide what is important to them.

If your dragging the outside of your boot at the front of the boot your pegs are too low and or not on your the balls your foot.
@MotovationUSA2 ай бұрын
Hip mobility is something to consider and work on to get the pegs up a bit higher, but this is good info. That is another reason to have fully adjustable rearsets. Stock rearsets don't always allow for the necessary adjustment needed. We like the Bonamici Racing rearsets. Gilles also makes some really nicely finished rearsets.
@Veterans-e2c2 ай бұрын
💯 agreed. I went out and bought another pair of boots and got the tech R V2 I adjusted my rear sets on S1000RR. Last track day no toe sliding at all and rear sets adjustment.
@MotovationUSA2 ай бұрын
Perfect! Sometimes just fiddling with the adjustments and updating the kit makes all the difference. I actually run a smaller boot than "fits" so that I can have better clearance while on track. An uncomfortable boot is worth the clearance for my size 11.5's. 😆
