New players are the last people who should be thrown straight into lvl 55. New players should experience the game and learn a bit before they get the hero class. This is some ass-backwards thinking on Blizz part.

I remember this clamweaving. It was my first expansion my roommate told me this and thought it was bs. I didn't really want to farm clams so I never really got past 30 clams haha

I hate mathematically optimal gaming. First of all, it’s boring as hell, secondly it requires you *play* mathematically optimal as well to actually be correct, and since you probably have your own flaws and mistakes in how you play, having a game style that suits you will often be way better than having one that would suite a theoretical perfect player.

I do remember there was a sword that dropped in Northrend, it was a grey item, but had no level requirement. You could send it to your level 1 and level with it, or twink out your 19 character. It eventually got patched, RIP Abandoned Greatsword

had it on my lvl 1 warrior bank alt with crusader on it. eneed up lvl1 twinking the char because of this sword, it was a blast dueling in front of orgrimmar

Hell yeah the quenched blade. It had an item level of 200, but no level req, and rend for warriors used item level for damage, you could have DoT ticks for 900+ damage
