The cast needs to go to the Copacabana School of acting. If you don't know the reference, then I'm just aging myself. The lead was a very attractive young man at the time. This was 10 years ago. I won't ask what your grade was for the effort.

Funny, when I told my parents their response was. "Oh really, like your telling us something we hadn't already figured out". they have always been accepting of me and my husband. We got married the 1st day it was leageal in CA. We have been together a total of 22 years now. Every time I talked to my father he had 3 questions. 1 how's your job? 2 how's your car? And 3rd how's Carlos. Both of my parents accept him as if though he's just another one of the kids and family. I'm very lucky to have the parents I do.

Good story. Made me tear up. I wish it was like this for real for all kids/people. Wasn't quite that way for me. My experience taught me a few things. But the one that I think I remember the most is that I accepted nothing but unconditional acceptance and love. When I didn't get it, I lashed out. Like the mother said, she loves him but she will need time to get used to it. I wish I gave my mom some time and didn't lash out at her. Parents are complex human beings too.

For a student project- its pretty good. Nice transitions between people during the dialogue. As people said the acting could be improved, especially the boyfriend, if they slowed their talking down and added more natural pausing and phrasing.

It ended somewhat abruptly. He never has THE TALK with his father. I question his line that he didn't choose to be gay and that he wouldn't want to be. A very negative perspective. Maddening when you tell someone something and they deny what you know about yourself.

People can be soo insensitive; loving and kind to some, and cruel to other sentient beings. Both in coming out situations as well as in relation to the killed turkey at the end while celebrating being one big happy family.
@tonykool53476 жыл бұрын
Just my opinion, does one really need an "excuse" to be gay, ie "I was born that way"? It leaves a "justification for that behavior." I do not need an excuse or justification to PREFER to be gay, as there IS NOTHING WRONG IN THAT CHOICE. Do you see? I like to be gay, it is my choice and it is a great choice FOR ME. If you do not want to be gay, then please do not be gay. I want to be gay, it makes me happy, and happiness is a part of my journey on the planet. Do you see the difference. Again, my opinion, when people stop judging another's personal choice [without harm to others of course], we all will be better off. People do not make statements like, I was born to like the color blue or drive a Chevrolet. These are personal preferences. There is nothing wrong to like red, blue, green, etc or drive a Chevy, Ford, Dodge, etc. We make choices to have "things, people, etc in our life" to enhance our journey. To justify, IMO actually diminishes us and lets others know, potentially, our lives are not in our control. We need an excuse. I see this as hurtful not helpful. Just a thought.

Okay, just saw the calendar, however, in my experience that isn't always a good indication of the month. If it's in Jake's room he hasn't been there in a few months to flip it. If his sister doesn't live at home, ditto.

0:48 She was not using it correctly. It takes a quick slapping motion to operate, just like the TV infomercial for Slap Chop. 1:10 to chop directly on the cutting board, you remove the *bottom* of the cup (the white plastic piece with black rubber ring), but you keep the clear plastic shell on the unit, so that the blades can travel up and down while the whole unit stays put.
