Short Gay Film It's Time To Tell

This is a short film that i made for my Senior Project. Its about a young man named Jake that decides to come out to his family finally after being at school in Fort Lauderdale FL. When he goes home for Thanksgiving to his surprise his mother has a responds to him being gay that he doesn't exspect. My goal with this film is in hopes that a lot of people can relate to the story because I based it off of true stories that really happened to people coming out to their families. Good story. Made me tear up. I wish it was like this for real for all kids/people. Wasn't quite that way for me. My experience taught me a few things. But the one that I think I remember the most is that I accepted nothing but unconditional acceptance and love. When I didn't get it, I lashed out. Like the mother said, she loves him but she will need time to get used to it. I wish I gave my mom some time and didn't lash out at her. Parents are complex human beings too.

I really enjoyed it; it's good story and Jake is a good lead. I though it was well put together I particularly liked the opening the opening scenes.

For a student project- its pretty good. Nice transitions between people during the dialogue. As people said the acting could be improved, especially the boyfriend, if they slowed their talking down and added more natural pausing and phrasing.

The cast needs to go to the Copacabana School of acting. If you don't know the reference, then I'm just aging myself. The lead was a very attractive young man at the time. This was 10 years ago. I won't ask what your grade was for the effort.

I liked this film , even though I feel that one's sexual (and emotional/romantic ) preferences should be between you and your partner . I don't believe a person should be pushed " to come out " by anyone . If your love interest is always harping that you should proclaim it to all your family and friends , they probably don't love you as much as they claim , and they are the insecure ones .

I rather agree with "sadguyfoundout" 's comment, but for a senior project it demonstrates a lot of potential. I hope we can look fwd to some sassy dialogue and quirky plot. Technically very fine (not that I know anything about the technicalities of film, mind you :-) )
