People thinks that this song doesn’t suit Lucy, but you have to understand, being strong is not just pointing towards being physically strong. Yeah, compare to the other Fairy Tail members, Lucy may not be strong in terms of fighting skills or intelligence, but she have strong beliefs. Her mentally itself is strong and that’s honestly a greater strength than you think. You think being mentally strong and stick to your own belief is very easy, but how many of us actually stick to our dreams? Lucy wanted to be a celestial magician ever since young and despite knowing that celestial magics are generally weak compared to other magics, she was still determined to be one. Maybe you might argue that celestial magic is actually not weak, as the later episodes revealed that they are powerful in ancient times, but in the story it was explicitly mentioned that celestial magicians are rare to find, let alone a strong celestial magician. You think Lucy wouldn’t know that being a strong celestial magician is a hard achieving goal? She could have give up celestial magic and learn another magic, but she insist continue being a strong celestial magician. Not only that, her father also didn’t approve her dreams, but she was so determined that she, a rich girl who grew up never having to worry about living problems, was willing to leave home to pursuit her dreams, even if it means she have to live in poverty. She was obviously struggling with living, she was constantly seen looking for jobs on the board. How many of us actually have the courage to live on our own without any help from our parents? And she grew up rich as well, she had servants, best living environment and services. Imagine one day it all went away and suddenly you need to struggle with money when all your life you had everything served on a golden plate. (Her father may not have treat her well emotionally, but we know he loves her and pretty sure he gave her everything he could materialistic wise) Even I, an average child from a middle class family couldn’t even imagine how in the world would I be surviving without any help from my family. She choose a dangerous path and stick to it till the end, I’ve seen so many who gave up on their dreams because they couldn’t endure the hardship. Can you do it?

People are saying that this only fits Erza, it is so obvious that it does, but it fits Lucy too, she has been through pain, she has lost people, but yet she continues to fight and smile, care for people, that is a strong person.

I love this song, and it really describes Lucy. I love how this song has so much meaning in it. I’m a Christian, and I came to this song to help me. Britt Nicole always makes amazing Christian songs, and I never thought I’d see a Fairy Tail AMV with one of her songs. I was just crying, and am in extreme pain because of an injury I got from falling, and on top of that being told I could do something fun with my family, and then acting like they never said anything about it. Anyways, I’ve been listening to a few songs to help me feel better, and this is the only one that stopped me from crying. I feel like I relate to it, even though I don’t commit self harm. Sometimes when I’m depressed I feel like I want to hurt myself. This is the perfect song to listen to when you feel like harming yourself. “God is watching over you.” Just that sentence really helped me and I stopped crying. This is really a masterpiece.
