Thanks, The magpie at first was attacking me. Then I'm like why don't I video it. As I did this the magpie stopped. On the way back as Soon as I saw the magpie. I got the Gopro and the selfie stick out. Felt safer this also.😃

Awesome Chris, nice to see another adventure. Can't believe the number of feral species in NSW and Vic parks. Always seen deer and horse up there but never a pig until now.

Thanks, Yes this was the first time I saw a pig. It ran across the track in front of me. The day before while walking around my campsite. I came across lots of diggings, like heaps. I thought it must be old diggings as they shut the park for 2 months to shoot them. I guess lots survived.

Great adventure mate! Id love to do some bikepacking in the high country. Are you allowed to sleep in the huts, or only in emergencies? Such a pity to see Deer and pigs out there.

Besides the ruggedness of some of the tracks, this has to be the peak (see what i did there) alpine bikepacking route in victoria (or aus)

Yes have done Gey Mare trail quite a few times now. Loving the 29 setup. Looking forward to March next year. Most probably be full time on the bike again. 🙂

You must have a stomach of steel. No way would i drink from most of, if not all of the streams all the way from jagungal to limestone; without treating it first. Bloody feral horses and the rest 😢

The stream was flowing very fast. It was a risk I've taken lots. Did get bad water once on the other side of the park.

Bloody oath you must be fit Chris. Im certainly nowhere near the fitness i was when we skiied together 10y ago. Im out of breath sitting on the couch with a coffee and donut watching you! Its a great time of year to be out in the sub alpine, not many folks about

Well done Chris. Where the road cutting is, is that the Alpine Way? It is a steep road even for a vehicle let alone on a bicycle 😂 This trip, did you double check that you had your wallet safely packed with you? An excellent adventure to the northern section of the Jagungal Wilderness Area of the Kosciuszko National Park

Thanks, It's Tooma Road. Goes to Cabramurra. It has a locked gate until 3 November, which is okay for bikes. I did take my wallet but wasn't near shops. 😀 Try not to do that again.

I was up at Charlotte Pass when the Aurora Australis was supposed to be visible a few days ago. Clouds obscured any vision of it. I'm now back in Melbourne.

On the website it said it was happening when I was there. I was in the dark taking 30 second photos with no sight. Must have only been Tasmania at that stage.

It's about a 3 km walk to the hut. The gate is locked from the Tallangatta ski club hut. About 1 hour walk.

Superb photography. Some time ago fairly near Penrith NSW I saw a bird so beautiful and almost luminous I stood transfixed in awe. Thanks to your filming I'm almost certain now it was a Mulga Parrot.

Nice video! By the way, at 8:41, that is actually a kelp gull and not a Pacific gull. Pacific gulls have a thicker beak and they lack the white spots on the tail.

You’re got an innovative rig- talking about your 3rd wheel. Also, I’ve seen pictures of the butterfly handlebars but your the first dude I’ve seen that actually had these bars on their bike. I have a touring bicycle, myself. However, I’am pretty sure I wouldn’t be up to crossing a desert. Om!
