Bro how would you say dailying this car is? I’m about 6’1 250 lol would you say it’s big boy friendly? Seats comfy they don’t get all fcked up with creases etc

A lot of people over 6ft say they fit fine but also wish the seats were planted a little lower like a 86/brz. Seats are alright, I’m starting to see some slight creases and I have the fabric seats. I’m pretty sure it would be worse in the suede/leather ones from the premiums/circuit edition. I have had 5 hour roads trips and not a single time my back was hurting lol.

I got the blinking third brake like from driven media 😁. Plug and play! Yeah I prefer these more! The oem visors are thicker and I was able to get a good deal on them eBay too lol. www.driven.media/shop/p/23-gr-corolla-f1-blinking-module

@@uReact2Yeah, it is a bit much, but it does have that drop vent on the side and shroud is up on an angle and pushes the airflow up. That plus the big mouth setup and my SXTH Element intake would give plenty of airflow into the engine.

I’ve been looking into that but idk how that would work since this is the Yaris version. Unless they came out with GRC version that would bolt up right up. The tray is half way bolted on but it’s been fine so far lol.

As a mechanic I will NEVER go 20k miles without an oil change I do my oil 3-5k miles not bc the oil can no longer protect the motor but bc sludge will 100% build up if you wait 20k miles between oil changes and instead of getting 150-200k miles out of my motors life I’d rather spend an extra $35 on Mobil 1 Ext Perf 20k mile synthetic oil an change it every 3-5k miles to clean any previous sludge from previous owners out an to prevent it

The OEM GR86/BRZ Cabin Air Filter Arrow Points Up to Indicate the Top of the filter. However, most aftermarket filters have the arrow pointing down to indicate airflow. So the Aftermarket filter is actually upside down! I just received the same cabin air filter and double checked because I also noticed the arrow irregularity.

Price? It was the one of the cheapest tbh. Performance doesn’t matter since all intakes didn’t do much hp increase either accord to video I seen. Now the sound, that’s my favorite one out of all of them but that’s my opinion.

I'm torn between paint matching half the CE wing or fully paint matching this one. The only thing I've noticed between this and others, is that there are air gaps inbetween the spoiler and roof on every other model (even non GR). There is a reason for this and I am assuming it is because of water accumulation with the angle of the roof. Do you have any issues with this when it's parked outside and raining?

The writing is suposed to be upside-down - WTF? I just changed the filter on my 2013 86 (Sakura brand) and put the writing the right way up. (I see that one brand has 'up^' written on it - not so, the Sakura.) Now I am wondering if I have put it in the correct way up! Can anyone help?

Well on this car/filter it was like that. As long as the arrow is pointing the correct way for the air flow.

Sounds really good and HKS are a reputable company, but I wish they made more of an enclosed “cold” air intake. I worry that with the hot summer temperatures that it will be pulling in hot air from the engine bay even with that heat shield. This is why I’m leaning towards eventuri even though it’s stupid expensive.

You shouldn’t worry about it sucking in hot air if you’re not actively racing the car. Today was a hot day in socal and my car drove the same even when flooring it. I did a couple pulls to see if the car would respond differently in a bad way and it didn’t.

I will update you guys if I get a CEL once I hit 1k miles with it on! EDIT I just hit 1k miles with it installed and have not gotten a CEL. No issues at all either.

No check engine light should pop up with the HKS intake. My boy @hks grc has had it on his car for the last 20k miles

Torn between this one and the forge motorsport. The HKS looks/sounds better. The Forge Motorsport will probably be more consistent with power being enclosed. I’m also more worried about getting the random CEL with the HKS.

I got 1k miles with it on and haven’t gotten a cel yet like they said I would. Then again, I seen on a forum that also said the CEL can be because of the elevation on where you live. Even the pcv fix they supplied didn’t work after awhile too.

Understandable, but if you want gains for the price then in my opinion mst or forge are good. There’s a slight gain with HKS but not as much as the closed intakes.

I noticed that you used your floor jack in the front of the vehicle before placing the jack stands, was there a reason for that? Does it make it so your tires land evenly when you are finished, removed the jack stands, and then lower the car back down? I've seen so many vods of people just using the floor jack on the side, lift, place stand, move to other side, and repeat. Also, how did you know where to center the floor jack in the front of the vehicle?
