I will update you guys if I get a CEL once I hit 1k miles with it on! EDIT I just hit 1k miles with it installed and have not gotten a CEL. No issues at all either.

No check engine light should pop up with the HKS intake. My boy @hks grc has had it on his car for the last 20k miles

Torn between this one and the forge motorsport. The HKS looks/sounds better. The Forge Motorsport will probably be more consistent with power being enclosed. I’m also more worried about getting the random CEL with the HKS.

Forge was my second option but I wanted to keep it “JDM”. I still haven’t gotten a CEL yet.

Honestly I wouldn’t be too worried about the cel. Alot of people get them. However I’m running the MST and I haven’t gotten one yet. Got about 2k miles . I do want this HKS though

I got 1k miles with it on and haven’t gotten a cel yet like they said I would. Then again, I seen on a forum that also said the CEL can be because of the elevation on where you live. Even the pcv fix they supplied didn’t work after awhile too.

Sounds really good and HKS are a reputable company, but I wish they made more of an enclosed “cold” air intake. I worry that with the hot summer temperatures that it will be pulling in hot air from the engine bay even with that heat shield. This is why I’m leaning towards eventuri even though it’s stupid expensive.

You shouldn’t worry about it sucking in hot air if you’re not actively racing the car. Today was a hot day in socal and my car drove the same even when flooring it. I did a couple pulls to see if the car would respond differently in a bad way and it didn’t.

There is an enclosed on for Yaris so the GRC version should come out in the future

Regardless of CEL or not, you really want to tune to benefit from any mods with this car like through Ecutek or syvecs

Understandable, but if you want gains for the price then in my opinion mst or forge are good. There’s a slight gain with HKS but not as much as the closed intakes.

Price? It was the one of the cheapest tbh. Performance doesn’t matter since all intakes didn’t do much hp increase either accord to video I seen. Now the sound, that’s my favorite one out of all of them but that’s my opinion.
