It's nice seeing time and effort being spent to make nice piles and delimb the pulp, makes the video much more watchable and the machine more impressive, not to mention the operator

Only thing missing is a big clam bunk forwarder skidding out. I cut in front of Timberpro forwarder years ago. 2 of us cutting opposite sides of a ridge, 2 cable skidders pulling up to main road on ridge line. Tree's were averaging 26" and he'd pull about 16 in a turn. Very impressive.

I’ve operated one just like this, faster, smoother and more powerful than most. Doesn’t hurt that he’s a good operator and knows his machine.

I think that the old equipment uses less fuel. It's nuts that the new equipment is using more fuel than the older equipment. I can run my 1970 forwarder hard all day and use only 4 gallons. Newer forwarders 35-50 gallons. I am opening a new shop to bring back old equipment back to life

Some of those cuts look rough. Why isn't the operator lining the butts up for a pull? Do they have a processor come behind him?

What is maximum load capacity of this Timberpro 840 forwarder in this video, in metric tons or lbs? What was the length of short wood (in meters or feet / inches) and what was the wood spеcie in the video? Where is the location of the job site in this video? What is the load cross sectional area of this forwarder in the video (in square meters or sq. ft.)?

Wow, I'm impressed by the efficiency. Looks perfect for removing standing dead timber with a minimal crew.

Old video i know…..but is it that the technology just doesnt exist that we can process the log into its 3 pieces, then immediately drop into the back? Maybe if somebody would make a processor head that could pick up a log, then sit it back down… perhaps only future generations may know

Wtf why carry it around, gonna break shit doing that, some people's kids🤦♂️and 27" head isn't huge, looks kinda flimsy, only one lift cylinder
@oldtimerf76022 жыл бұрын
Lemme guess... you are from Oregon, or BC and mow grass bigger than this wood? Run 50 ton machines with 48" heads? Slow roast grizzly bears over open flames for lunch? This is NH, not Tazmania.
@jezcolborne6329 Жыл бұрын
That's what they do as this machine isn't flimsy at al and its got a good rait of regaining speed and sounds like a planer and all feller butchers carry the cut trees for a reason Mr troll so stop being an ass head
@native826 ай бұрын
You've obviously never production logged before. And have no idea how it works and why they do it that way. Also those bunchers are made specifically to carry the trees around, and on steep ground. They don't break 😅
@mikehd39042 жыл бұрын
I've triple cut with tigercat, I'd like to try this, omg gonna wreck shit trying to move them around on the ground, when huge wood, it's cut n push,sure alot of waisted time moving trees on the ground, thats gotta break a tool cylinder or a grab arm soon !
