Oh, I've read this one as a collected volume. From recovefing Ugly John, up to the sentient Sentinel realizing what it had done under Cassandra Nova's control... I believe this was where they found Negasonic Teenage Warhead's name, as well. I didn't actually like the art style, personally, and the "secondary mutation" gimmick seems a bit... idk. I do like the interpersonal confrontations though, and when "Charlse" shot "Cassandra"? Very clever.

I actually disliked this version of the X-Men. I disliked it so much I discontinued my subscription and changed it to Xtreme X-Men. But that one fell off too for me I think a year later.

Did they not have any quality control on the art? Scenery looked on point the entire time, but Scott never had the same chin. Emma looked like a blonde Jubilee, needing a sandwich. Loved the costumes, but it's like AI drew all the characters 😂

Genuinely one of the worst Batman comics even written. People only like it because of the “deep” meaning and the unique art style, the story is laughably bad with some parts genuinely making so sense with this early being the most inaccurate and worst incarnation of Batman ever. It’s funny that universally Batman fans genuinely despise this comic but none Batman fans love it.

There were 44 times I felt like shitting myself throughout this short. Thank you

Where is Batman during the events of this book?

The Boys comic is better than the show, deal with it. I read the Boys to see how shitty the world with super heroes would be, not to see Homelander say "yummers" and cry about being a trust fund kid.

So what continuity does this take place in? Post crisis or new 52?

Black Science is, according to me, one of the best comics ever written. Probably the best story of multiverses ever told, in an era full of stories using the same trope.

I recently read it for the first time. I had a great time, I enjoyed how complex yet accesible it was. Dragotta is a great storyteller. Many interesting characters. It may become one of my favorite comics, further readings will tell.

how are political devices racist? Every comic book ever mirrors current or past wars... its not racism, you are reaching incredibly far because you see joker in a hijab and that bothers you. It bothers you because you dont think joker should be in a hijab. Why not? Im forced to wear one and im white as snow. If the joker went to Iran because thats the only safe place for him to go. Yes, he certainly could come back to America under diplomatic immunity. But that would also mean he has to wear his hijab because he is a representative of Iran. Its hard for you to read, because you are inherently racist yourself. Anyone can wear a hijab and in some places you have no choice but to wear it.
