This game is so overhyped!😃

I been paying this game off and on for nearly 15 years now, and even on easyh mode, I have no ever yet beat stage 3 yet. love it but dam, so hard it hurts myt brain stage 3 end boss especially

Hey bro! There is a secret acievement in this game uf u wanna try! U get a thing for fnot firing your weapon at all and bea tht egame wihtout firing. just dodge and dodge. Each bvoss is times and will go away so it is possible to win with no bullets fired.

I did the same case thing with my (PAL) PS1 games as a kid, and so did a lot of people I know. The cases just didn't hold up over time, and it was quite rare to find used games with intact cases, so the CD wallet full of games (and maybe manuals or cover art if you were lucky) was pretty normal.

I had a friend that had Lifeforce for the NES and borrowed it all the time. I think that is the only shoot 'em up I have really played extensively. It isn't I don't like them it's just I never seek them out.

I can't beat any of these games either and while I too like the genre, it doesn't extend to bullet hell games. Despite their difficulty, I find them boring. Can't really explain it but it's too the point where often I even have trouble keeping my eyes open.

Took me 3 months of daily play to be able to 1CC this game with a final score of 23 million, when it was new on Dreamcast. Today it is painfully difficult because I remember *how* I used to maximise the chain count for the first few levels - and racking up enough bonus lives to comfortably take me through to the end - but I don't have that skill anymore or the desire to sharpen it up. I've been an expert at Ikaruga and I loved every minute of those three months.. but it's not a returner, not an evergreen shooter because I burnt out on it. but somehow it is still a singular masterpiece.

I have this game and I love it, but I have to be in the right mood to play it. I have to be in the mood to play a game that's gonna kick my ass, baecause this is the hardest shooter ever made for me.

7:00 since you made it home safe with the system in tow I am going to guess your mom got you the system for Christmas already and that is why she was adamant you not get it and you ended up with two SNES’s. Being of similar age because I already listened to Slayer, Metallica, Vader, Rage against the machine, SOAD etc when Korn, Offspring and Green Day gain popularity I always treated them as diluted and more commercial bands so yeah it’s always interesting to see someone else approach. Luckily the music didn’t stop in the nineties and we can still find contemporary gems like Softplay or Satya.

Nice to see someone mentioning holding the button down to get stronger attacks. Have been watching people button mashing themselves through the game since forever, and that is simply not a good way to play the game. Though, you should it at all times. It makes every enemy encounter easier to deal with.
