do you need to do anything special when you boot ps5 pro for it to recognise the m.2 drive when you install a brand new m.2 drive it will ask you to format it will this also happen with a m.2 drive you have taking out of your old ps5 slim? i dont want to loose all my games on the m.2

Nothing special. The PS5 Pro will do a database rebuild, but it's pretty similar to taking a USB HDD from one console to another.

Test Drive Unlimited is not even worth testing => It dies before were getting and offline mode. There arent any players so the game will die in future. I hate the fact because i bought the gold edition but its maybe the future. The sales and the players are really low and the whole system of the game failed.

Sorry. I don’t think I understand what was said about the SSD in terms of memory transfer. If I take what ever is in my old ps5 and transfer it to the ssd that I will be putting in the pro . Will I not be able to transfer it from the ssd to the new console once installed ?

Sorry if that's a bit confusing. Any PS5 games already on the M.2 will be readable by the PS5 Pro, and you can transfer them across to the internal storage, if you want. I was mentioning the data transfer utility in settings that runs across ethernet/WiFi. That will only move user data and games on the internal storage, and you cannot select games from an M.2 using that.

What read and write speed do you need for the PS5 pro? I bought a power x SSD m.2 drive I don't feel like it performs quite as well as the internal drive

You should aim for 5,500Mbps read. That's the guideline from Sony, and should be more than good enough for most games. I'm wasn't familiar with PowerX until now, but it looks like their NVME drives are only up to 2,000Mbps read.

I have become a PC player who plays most games around or above 60 fps, and when i look at 30 fps now, my eyes go crazy & it looks like it goes in slowmotion.

For me as an PC Player i can understand u sometimes. But some games feel pretty good at 30fps on the old gen consoles. Maybe im different, i love my RIG but i also love my consoles.

Can anyone recommend an ssd drive for the ps5 pro that does not overheat ? I’ve tried a couple different ones on my ps5 & they would overheat without the addition of a USB fan the plugs into the back of the console & I also had to have a fan blasting right in front of it . If I did not do that , it would overheat after about two hours , maybe an hour & a half give or take . Can’t remember the brand off hand but I can take a peek if anyone’s interested in the ones I’ve tried out .

Is the cover plate the same on the pro? I have a sabrent heatsink that replaces the cover plate. Can I use this on the pro?

I think (think) it looks the same, so as long as it's the standard shape, it should be OK. Fire an email at Sabrent if you want an official word though.

No. You will need to update the ps5 pro before though before it can use your ssd. But don’t worry it won’t reformat your ssd and wipe all your games.

Sony supports up to 8TB, and I think that's pretty much the biggest NVMe drive you can get right now.

I think the Cons are bigger then the Pros for me. I don't like a lot of the changes they have done in the collor palete, light and shadows. I really dislike the shinny hair in Alloy and the built-in make up that the remake puts on her face. The rain looks way worse in the remaster too, and the saturated green is too over the top.

Never finished it 😂 I got about 6 hours in after starting it back in 2017 and have played about an hour a year 😂 I just couldn’t get into it for some reason part of me thinks I should upgrade but part of me thinks I will probably never finish it. I found out watching other reviews that you can scan the enemies for weak points 🤦🏻♂️ seriously I didn’t know that 😂. I played and completed gow 2018 and had no idea about the runes until ragnarok 🤦🏻♂️ but it did take me 2 years to finish the game no joke I’ve only played the demo so far not the full game of ragnarok.

While Zero Dawn actually has a very interesting backstory and the player involvement is paced well, I had no use for most any character and their cliched design which made most quests painful to listen through. Best times were spent alone but that gets old without something to do besides explore and kill. World and backstory - 100%. Characters and script - nope. Game mechanics - typical so it's better safe than sorry.

If they had changed the opening act, then I might get excited. Aloy lands arse first in the biggest discovery of her life and it is just happenstance. It would be better if she found the focus because of her curiosity, because she's a fearless explorer, not because she had little temper tantrum about her outcast status. The character should accept that fate and just lean into it, lean hard into it and become self reliant.

They should have made more of a emotional scene with Ross and alloy when he left her so she can become a brave. Seem like no matter what dialogue you choose it really doesn’t have that much of an impact

@@frankiebeans8055 that whole thing with becoming a brave should be have been left out. She should be an outside observer who notices the dude with the other focus and then approach him in secret. Few days later the attack should happen and Aloy, finding it hard to ignore the please of help, should rush in and save folk. That should cause a schism in the community, because she is still an outcast, yet she selflessly ran into danger to save them.

SONY console games are the same because they demand it. So far Ghost of Tsushima has been the only port I can honestly recommend for the experience. It even has much of the same % of cutscene driven story, and other console tropes because of hardware it was designed for. I got 1/2 way through a second Zero Dawn play thru and just lost interest.

I played the HZD + DLC on my PS4 Pro. Then I played and finished the PC version on highest graphical settings @ 60FPS. Which was a great experience! So yesterday evening I did a comparison between the OG and remaster on my PC. The OG is a lot lighter on the hardware and still looks great. The minor issues I have with remaster, are that I prefer the lighting of the OG in a lot of scenes and the remaster has much more nuclear looking oversaturated flora in a lot of lighting conditions. But... The horrendous water of the OG is more or less fixed in the remaster! Rejoice! After playing for a couple of hours, back and forth between the OG and the remaster, my conclusion is that I prefer the remaster over the OG and it was well worth the incredible risky investment of €10,-! ;)

@JayzVeez because the deva have already stated that although they revamped everything, they tried to fix the hair clipping for aloy however since the engine used to make the hair is complex, they were only able to minimize the hair clipping. So it'll be in the remaster but ita not as often as the original

Never cared for the remasters of Star Wars and pretty much anything else. A remake is different. Tomb Raider Anniversary was a good remake. A remaster is a cash grab - every time.

We don't capture in HDR, because of the fussiness that adds to the editing pipeline. SDR is much more consistent.

I was saying that the original look better . Oh boy i was so wrong . I play the game after i upgrade for 10 bucks . It does not just look better it plays better . The controls are more sensitive so the respond is faster not much faster but in ultra hard especially without ultra hard without game + every bit counts . The only think that i will want is a little darker shadows but i have put the slider in 20 % and it´s ok .

@@bownadquiver If you put the slider down the foliage is better playing with the slider in 10 % now and it´s ok . Have not done the proving yet so have not go out to the world but it´s ok in the Embrace . Shadows and light it´s a little better as well . I will put the slider down to 0% to see if things will become even more better .

2:36 The thing about the new motion capture is now there is a lip-sync problem. For those that have the review code and made videos you should look at the comments. A speculation is the mocap is for a different language may be the reason why the lip-sync is off.

@@matthewsgunners2292 I've played AS1 on rift s, quest 1, AS2 on quest 3 and PC with link, and now the remake. And although I love AS2, I think there was no point in a AS1 remake as the original was fine. And they still didn't fix the issue with grabbing things accidentally or accurately, guns still have no weight, so it's not a better game in my eyes, just slightly refreshed in not a good way.

@@matthewsgunners2292 it's an upgrade with regards to standalone, but not PCVR. The textures on the original (check the bridge section), were way more detailed than the remake, and the railings, and explosions were better, as I said the remake is smoother, and zombies look a bit better. But it's no way near a massive improvement. Just a small tweak on some things, guns still handle like crap, and grabbing things accurately isnt a thing.
